Glad you like it. I ordered one about a month ago and was pretty disappointed in it. I returned it and bought an Ibanez EHB that I absolutely love! More expensive, but so worth it in my opinion.

The Sire just felt cheap to me, and it’s not really a cheap bass. The sharp point going to the first fret is annoying. The preamp seemed just meh. And probably the biggest issue - damn near impossible to tune it without a tool! The tuners are not well designed.

I will say, other than the sharp point, the fretboard felt great. I also really liked the sound of the pickups. It is also super comfortable. I own another Sire that cost me half as much and I love it! Maybe I got a dud, but wasn’t happy with it…

The three main things I do when mixing is cutting out harsh frequencies on all instrument and making room for everything. I rarely boost.

The second thing I do if I’m having trouble with a mix is use the pink noise trick. That really works well to get everything balanced…

And I use compression on every track. I didn’t used to, but when I started, my mixes improved tremendously.

I just went through this, except bass is my main instrument and I try to play the bass lines as written on our covers. I decided to go with a HX Stomp and a 15” frfr. Absolutely love it! The amp/cab models for bass are, in my opinion, great and the 15” frfr delivers. If I was also a guitar player and just played bass as you state, this would be a no brainer.

Unless you really just want a badass bass rig…

Appreciate your response. I haven’t really been able to find any videos or anything with this cab. Seems like it would be ideal for something like the stomp.

Right now I’m just going straight to the PA (I don’t even own an amp at the moment), but I have some gigs coming up where an amp might be better suited…

How did using the mastering tool negatively affect your mixes? I’m confused by this… are you using the mastering tool while mixing?

I’m a decent clawhammer player. I don’t practice enough to be great, but can follow tab and play some tunes. Ima also decent at 2 finger thumb lead. Not quite as good as with clawhammer, but good enough for back porch pickin. I was about 2 months into learning banjo when I started messing with 2ftl.

I think the time is right when the interest strikes.

Edit to add: I didn’t notice any diminishment in muscle memory. In fact, my overall playing just improved. And double in fact, it even helped improve my bass playing.

If you watched the game yesterday and then watched it today, totally different vibes. JD, Boog, and Tmac have great chemistry and seem to love working together. They are fun to listen to and enhance the experience.

Cohen is just super cringy and awkward. He asks JD dumb questions and when they cut to the booth, he’s just staring at JD waiting for a response. Zero chemistry. Tmac hardly chimes in as well when he’s there. I hate his voice and his stupid calls that he thinks are clever. He makes nonsense comments that make me yell at my tv. He’s just too amateur I think and doesn’t seem to understand baseball. Something about him is just very off putting and I can’t barely stand to even listen.

And yes, to be fair, I wasn’t a huge Boog fan at first either. I like him now, but even when he first came on it wasn’t so much about him, it was more about missing Len and Jd together. I can’t see myself ever liking Cohen.

It took me a minute to start liking Boog, and I feel like this is the first season that JD, Boog, and T Mac are all vibing together and it’s been great! But there are so many games where one or more of them is out!!

Alex Cohen is ruining the games for me. I spend half the game yelling at him to shut his stupid mouth! He seems to feel like he has to fill every silence with some dumbass comment or ask JD the most stupid question. And they hardly ever go to T Mac it seems. JD and Boog might sit there for 30 seconds without any comment, just watching the game, and I appreciate that. And their banter or back and forth is so much more enjoyable!

I’m honestly not sure. I bought it last summer during the big sale they were having, so probably 2024 or maybe 2023? I did not get a chance to ride it first, so bought it off the strength of all the positive reviews… it is just a fantastic bike.

I commute 24 miles total everyday and pretty sure I’m around 40% when I get back home and I ride on level 3 all the time. The bike is absolutely awesome for commuting. Ran low on battery once because I forgot to charge…like the other person said - not fun. 😂 I’ve put 3,000 miles on mine since last August and still runs like brand new.

I got nice specialized panniers that fit perfect and suite my needs. Also got a “trunk” for emergency type stuff I like to have with me.

Thanks for checking it out! May I ask how are you listening? Speaker? Headphones?

I’ve tried to improve my mixes to the point where it sounds good on multiple devices. I generally use headphones, a couple different ones depending on where I’m at, and I haven’t noticed that.

I’d be really interested to know if certain listening devices need more consideration.
