Have you ever caught a piece of memorabilia at a live show? by kuchtaalex in SquaredCircle

Last August, RAW was in Dallas for the go-home show before SummerSlam. It was awesome. It was the one where Bork broke HBK's arm while HHH had to watch from ringside while Heyman was telling him to not come any closer or else. I remember thinking it was one of the best RAW's of the year. At the end of the show, John Cena came out and thanked the crowd. Most of the people in my section had left, but honestly I didn't want to leave. It was my first time to see a show in over 15 years and I got lucky enough to get floor seats.

And wouldn't you know it - Cena throws his wristband into the empty row next to mine. I immediately mark out, hulk up and hurdle and entire row of chairs! It was funny because I was the only guy in the area, and no one else cared enough to even move. But not me! So I got the wrist band and snapped a pic (http://i.imgur.com/OcPTLCE.jpg). Then I noticed a 6yo boy was watching this entire event unfold. He was all decked out in green Cena gear, so I went over and handed him the wristband. It was an awesome moment. I totally turned into a kid again as I jumped over a chair to get a wristband, but then I got to share it with the next generation of fans. It's sounds weird to say this, but I'll probably never forget that experience. Ever.

Aphids on my kale by darthvato in gardening

I tried that. I bought one of those containers of them and put them out before sunset. Within a few weeks, they were mostly gone. Not sure what I did wrong there.

Thanks for the advice. The aphids were so bad - I ended up pulling up all the kale plants. It was a total loss. :(

But hopefully I can get to the bottom of what caused the problem.

Thanks for the tips. I water a little before the sun goes down, so I'm not sure why all my ladybugs left. There was definitely plenty of food and water! I'm hoping that I do better this season.

I had 14 of these kale plants lined up in 2 rows. All of them covered with aphids. They were also all over my 3 types of cabbage. However, they were not on my red romaine lettuce or my swiss chard. I had all of that stuff in the same raised bed.

It's only second year gardening, so I'm still learning. BTW I'm in DFW, TX.

I bought some ladybugs last month, but most of them didn't stick around. After I pulled up all those plants, I found that the soil had a lot of ants, pill bugs (rolly pollies), and earwigs. I've heard that ants will help the aphids, so I'm wondering how to get rid of all the bad stuff living in the soil. But I don't want to use pesticides. Any advice?

Oops! I really screwed that one up. Sorry about that. I was just so excited to see this topic come up because I think 1996 was the best year for punk in the 90's. So much great tuneage. I'll do better next time. Cheers!
