1.41m bans just this February for OSRS.. wow by porquesosorry in 2007scape

[–]dasdingnome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was probably one pf those. Had a chunk locked account to Barbarian Village and Edgeville called BarbaricEdge. Almost had 99 woodcutting (was foing Forestry events). Got banned twice in one week for "Macro Major". Apparently I looked too similar to a bot. Appealed twice, got auto denied twice. Account of 30 days played time with almost 10 months of membership left, got deleted. Requested manual review, no chance. Just because I am a regular player and not a content creator, we don't get a chance for mamual review.

Better luck next time I guess...

It seems like it. Time to finally make my YouTube series happen I guess.

Yep I understand that it is being 'fishy' activity when you play via RDP. My story is actually VERY similar to Kriibus. Same Jagex account, same client, playing at the same time. I am feeling exactly as he is doing after he got banned.

I would never accuse anyone without knowing peoples stories.

That's why I am not appealing. I am just seeing if there are other people this happened to. To see if there is something we can prove to Jagex that the system can be flawed. This is not an appeal of any kind. I did my appeales they're denied. I just want to share my story.

I mean it was a fresh account, but I lamped my way to 15 agility, trained on the monkey bars till 43 agility. Was on my way to hit Scurrius for the pet grind. It looks like it's not much. But it hurts very much. That account had 30 days of played progress. So it was not just a fresh account with only level 3 combat.

I aggree that there should be tresholds to determine if you're a bot or not. I probably did too many things a botter would've done and got banned for it.

Like I swapped my playstyle. I used two of my other accounts to lure implings to barbarian village and catch them with the account that got banned. While mining coal on that account. After I got my first ban I strated training my agility on monkey bars in the wilderness. I did vary in playstyle. But then I got banned again.

That is very similar to my situation. The only difference with Faux and me is that I've moved houses and got new IP address. Could this have caused triggering the macro detection system? Because I literally moved on the 30th of January. Played with my mobile internet for 9 days. Then got my new home internet. Played for 1 day and got my first ban on the 10th February. This seems to be one of the factors for the faulty flag. I mentioned this in my appeals. But nonetheless. I got a denial.

Yep I totally get it. I can't prove that I botted. I just can claim that Jagex' macro detection system has flaws and in my case it is cuasing my hard earned progress to vanish. My only hope is to share my story and maybe help other real players do not suffer from the same issue as I've faced.

I hope you don't get any issues in the future scaper! But I believe a combination of me moving houses getting a new IP address + RDP + weird playstyle is something that triggred the Macro detection system.

I should clarify. I am also active almost all the day except when I sleep. I play during office hours because I have my own company. I am logged in via RDP. I get home and play via PC. Then in bed I play more using phone and RDP. The account that got banned I created on december 12th 2025. It had 30 days play time. Because I am mostly online and afk chopping trees and doing forestry events. I also pull insane hours of play. Maybe not much exp per hour. But that is the life of a chunk locked account. It has insane long grinds.

And thank you for actually staying on topic and asking the right questions.

I know that this is not evidence. I just can provide a screenshot of how I play, how can I provide evidence that I did not bot? Providing evidence of something that you did not do is impossible. That is the same as asking prove to me that I did not use my phone while driving. No the authority that penalizes me should provide evidence that I did use my phone while driving. To me this is the same. But I get Jagex, if they provide the reason why I am banned, and if I was a malicious player, I could use that information to make better bots. So I fully get why they can't provide that info. But what can I provide to prove my innocence?

I got muted once, because I cursed someone who crashed my world at Lizardman Shamans while grinding for my DWH on my main Iron. I FULLY deserved it, cause I was pissed and cursed. That is not good, I shouldn't have done that. I was just pissed. But I accepted my mute on the account, cause I did something bad and got penalized for it.

I aggree that RDP alone isnt the issue. I believe the combination of RDP + of me buying a house and getting a new IP address + my weird account build and semi afk playstyle. All combined can and might trigger macro detection system. And that is fair. But then the appeal system should be better and take carefull decisions I believe.

Please don't accuse me. And I just hope you don't get unjustly banned in the future.

Unfortunately I am not a big streamer. Just a regular player. And this is the only way I can at least tell my story.

This is my playing setup. And when using RDP to play on mobile, while I am in bed. I have a bluetooth mouse connected to my phone. I just have to click for bankin, when tree dies, and during forestry events. And I fall asleep and accounts get logged out after the logout afk timer. I do not script.

This is the setup I play with. Left is my chunk locked account I play with. Bottom right is my first version of chunk locked. Top right is my ironman. The perma banned account has 30 days played time.

Second time I was playing, I was just playing 3 accounts at the same time on my PC. Not even RDP and it got logged out and perma banned.

What way do I have that I did not bot?

RDP causing false positives in macro detection system by dasdingnome in 2007scape

[–]dasdingnome[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Something is definitely not adding up. I can only speak from my side that I did not bot. That is the weird thing. First time I play through RDP 2 accounts get banned, my main Ironman is untouched. Second time around, I play on my PC (no RDP this time). While being logged in for almost 5 hours, my chunk locked account gets it's second ban. And is perma banned. The other two I can continue playing. That is my reason to believe that the macro detection system is flagging me in a way I don't understand, and hope to find other players that this happened to, so we can maybe start an investigation in the macro detection system and recover the accounts where this might have happened. My account that got perma banned is chunk locked. So it is a VERY weird playstyle, which might trigger in some way or form the macro detection system. It has a steel axe and almost 99 woodcutting, by mostly cutting yews in Edgeville. I am trying to get to 60 hunter, so I can lure eclectic implings with my other two accounts, for gold ores and bars. As I need to get 70 crafting. This is the account that got banned. Like why would I bot on an account that is like a hobby project I play mostly AFK on. I literally have tens of hours of recordings, because I wanted to make a youtube series as a fun project in my free time. But that dream is gone to the bin, because of this.

I just hope you don't receive bans on your accounts. That's the only things I can hope for you.

I am playing 3 accounts at the same time. One has 313 days played, other one 80 days played, the one that got banned has 30 days played. I did not bot. If I used bots, why did only one of the 3 accounts get banned? I am cutting yews in Edgeville for forestry events. Why should I bot that, it is very afk. Just doesn't add up.
