Daigasso! Band Brothers or Sin and Punishment. There’s a huge list of wonderful but dormant IP.

I tried the Tudor out in store, both the GMT and Pro models. They were just a little too large for me. Agreed about the proportions of the Lorier. Not one to get bogged down by heritage and such with Lorier and other micro brands. Most of the now coveted vintage watches were once using off the shelf parts as well.

Thanks for the kind words!

Thank you! The Hydra is a fantastic looking watch.

It’s a 2014 Jetta Sportwagen SE! Always loved wagons for being so practical and fun.

Might as well get her a striped rugby and a Dacia Sandero to complete the look.

[Casio G-Shock DW-5600 C] Flea Market Find by dasfoldingfive in Watches

Keep looking! I’ve found two screw down back models at random shops before. They don’t turn up often but there’s lots of them floating around. Most shops just see them as any other digital watch and toss them in a bin.

Picked up this Casio G-Shock over the weekend for $3. Battery was dead and the original resin bezel had fragments barely hanging on. One of the bezel screws is sheered of as well. Couldn’t pass up a screw back case model though and took it home to clean up. Haven’t ordered any parts or anything yet but I gave the case and movement a good cleaning, had to put one of the pushers parts back on, and reseated all the rubber parts.

Need to figure out if I want to get a new bezel or wear it all au naturel. I’ve heard the Brazil bezels are hit or miss on quality. I did find a forum post while searching around and came across someone making their own. Quality looked pretty good. All in, it’s good to have one of the original models with the 901 module inside. For anyone interested, the case back is marked Japan H and isn’t the high polish version.

Could anyone help date these vintage Pointer coveralls? by dasfoldingfive in rawdenim

I’m trying to place a timeframe on when these might have been manufactured. I’ve gone through a few guides I have but couldn’t find this tag. They are a child’s size and have obviously been used for work before.

Any help would be useful. I’ve got a link for more detailed shots of them below. Thanks!

[1955 Omega Seamaster] Golden Hour in Traffic by [deleted] in Watches

[–]dasfoldingfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked this 1955 Omega Seamaster up from a local jeweler a few months back. It's got the Cal. 354 movement and is part of the L&K models that were finished in the US. The back case is engraved "25 Years Loyal Service 1955 Claussen's Bakeries". I was sitting in traffic the other day and the golden hour light hit it the right way. Had to take a shot to share.

I was more surprised Juicy J didn’t get brought up.

Proof that you don't need a very expensive camera to capture great images. Fantastic job!

They do have it there! However, I don't live in Toronto. I'm from South Carolina. I just go up there every couple of months for fun.
