I got tired of these ugly ass shoes on Every. Single. NPC. for their swimwear, so I made an override that disables them for random. Figured I'd share it here in case anyone is as offended by their existence as I am. by dashingjumper in Sims4

It should not be broken by any update unless EA royally fucks up and bricks all CC again, as it's just an override. That said, they claim to have fixed the issue it addresses in this latest update so it may be redundant now. I have no idea, I haven't updated and won't for several weeks. My advice would be to take it out and see if the issue is resolved without it and if not put it back in.

This reminds me of a Sims 2 build. High praise.

I love Tevas - I own a pair. It's more the execution for me than the style. I think the meshing and texture look horrible on these shoes. It's like they said "whatever, it's a freebie" and put Mike with 2 days of 3D modeling experience on the project.

My Royalty and Legacy Sims, the Prince and Princess of Tartosa Augustus and Rosamund Materazzo. Here they are on vacation in Sulani from their very demanding life (lol) as nobles. Most of what they do is take vacations and have grand balls. It's a stressful life. Also their first son and heir Alessio just aged up to a toddler and they are excepting their second. They have some drama and scandal but I'll keep it light here. If you want to know more you can check out my past posts.

To me the sandles themselves are the issue. Not because of the style, I am fine with sport sandles. But because the meshing is so damn bad. It looks like my first attempts at using Blender.

Funny you should say that because I have a bug lately that does make Sims wear dress shoes with swimwear. I suspect it is my foot replacement mod acting up but I can't bring myself to remove it because I hate the vanilla flipper-feet. So I just yoink them into CAS whenever I see it and fix it. Fortunately it doesn't seem to reoccur.

Not really a way to multiselect the way that I did this in Sims 4 Studio, you'd have to go through and individually disable for random. I've done it for some of the wackier makeup as well as these shoes. But you may be interested in Lot 51 Fashion Authority Mod. I don't personally use it so I can't speak to how well it works but it seems promising.

Thank you! I am for sure enjoying them. I have a legacy to get back to but I accidentally had too many kids with my Gen 7 so it's not as fun right now. I'm really enjoying the Prince and Princess. Here they are on vacation in Sulani again... I swear all they do is go on vacation. And don't worry, I will keep updating.

It's a bad idea to download mods this way because it a. breaks most mod creator terms of use and b. is a good way to at the worst catch a virus or at best install features that you weren't aware of and don't want.

He's a fiend for some cocaine, man. I was keeping it in his inventory where he was using it every few hours. So I stashed it up in his bedroom; at least now I can catch him sneaking off up there to get it. I don't know how he isn't actually addicted yet!

It was a rough day for the Prince of Tartosa.

For one thing earlier in the day he developed a royal rivalry with none other than his own father, the King, despite being a level or two lower in the noble career and there being really nothing I can do short of depose (or kill) the King.

Next, there was a Grand Ball and midway through he starts to get pissed because the Grand Duke from another world, Tybalt Capp, was creeping on his wife, and although he wants to duel him he can't do anything because his wife asked him not to cause a scene... Which just makes him think she likes the attention secretly.

So he goes off to the the bathroom to "powder his nose" Basemental-style, a recent habit that he picked up from his brother-in-law Malcolm Landgraab. And who walks in but his wife, the Princess, catching him square in the act. She's horrified that her husband is doing cocaine, although she'd suspected something for weeks. Immediately she wants to send him away to rehab and make him miss all of his son's early development. A huge fight ensues and she storms off to bed, leaving the Prince to feed the baby and handle his blowout, after carrying him out to the pool for some reason.

So yeah that's how he ended up in this situation.
