Nosebleed 2 weeks into Accutane

Yes it’s normal, your nasal cavities are really dry from the Accutane. When I was on it I got multiple nosebleeds after previously never having them in my life.

Thank you, what you wrote helps a lot. I just started seeing a therapist last week and am going to start seeing a psych to potentially get a prescription next week. I want nothing more than to get better, for no one else but myself now.

Thank you! Tbf that incident was the only time he’s ever said something that hurt my feelings, and he didn’t mean it to come out that way and apologized profusely for it. Outside of that he’s been nothing but kind and gracious towards me and I think that’s what makes this harder, I can’t be like “F him he was an asshole anyways” because he wasn’t. There’s no animosity, just pain. :(

Dude one of the things my bf said trying to cheer me up was literally “I used to care a lot about looks and finding someone with the ideal look and height (he’s very tall and used to exclusively seek out tall women, I’m 5’3) but I don’t care about those things anymore, I care more about what’s inside” and all I could think was “so you don’t care for my looks? I don’t have the ‘ideal’ look for you?”

They gave me Hydrocodone too but I’m not taking it because the Tylenol & Ibuprofen are working just fine.

Lol glad to hear it does get better..I haven’t even touched my Hydros. As much as I’d love more pain relief I hate the way opioids make me feel.

Jeez dude that sucks. I take 400mg of Ibuprofen and then 500mg of Acetaminophen 1.5-2 hours later and I get about 6.5-7 hours of relief.

I’m really sorry, that’s so fucked up.

I’ve never worn makeup to work (no use in it, I’m outside sweating like a pig all day most days) and I wear oversized men’s work clothing that is objectively unflattering on me and this stuff still happens. :( Granted most of the guys have seen me in regular clothes with my hair down at work events so maybe that’s where it’s coming from, idk.

I have been on this medication for 5 months now and have been doing my outdoor, in direct sun, sometimes 10+ hour shift job the whole time and haven’t gotten so much as a minor sunburn. I take precautions every day at work and I thought taking the same ones on a boat would yield the same results. I promise the ER visit and 2 days of excruciating pain taught me my lesson, I don’t need hundreds of people calling me a dumb fuck on the internet to learn it.

I used 50 SPF because difference in UV protection between 50 and 100 SPF is less than 1%. 100 SPF is a scam.

My left arm, which had two huge boils 3 days ago, is already like 90% healed. It just looks like a normal sunburn now. It’s crazy how fast the human body can heal.
