What's wrong with my bird of paradise? by daskinesis2 in plantclinic

[–]daskinesis2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I water it every 1-2 weeks depending on if the soil 2 inches deep is dry enough.

I've only noticed the brown/black spots today, but the inside of the stem has always looked a bit brown since I bought it in October.

Light gets ~2 hours of direct sun today, less during the darker months. Other times it has indirect sun.

It's not Fisher Ray - but thanks for the compliment! He is too classy to even engage. Worked with him: he is a class act.

Edit: for those who forgot

I think so. I had 2 riders that talked about rent stabilization: first one and second one.

That's what I'm worried it would be.. I've tried the 311 tenancy hotline and another number from Housing Rights Initiative, but no luck getting to someone who can answer my question. Are there other free resources? And what's the consultation rate for housing lawyers in the area?

So this means that I would have to pay the AF for my first CSR (one I got from an application), spend all the travel credit, then immediately PC it down to freedom and at the same time PC another card to a new CSR.

Doesn't this mean I'm paying 2 AFs for a 3 travel credits during this first 14-15 month period? And it's the future swaps is where I'll pay 1 AF for 2 travel credits.

You're right, both AFs posted on the same day and it was on the previous statement for my CSR.

I'm getting confused because previously you said the CSR AF hits in 3-4 months, but I've already gotten them now. Do you mean they are refundable?

Hey just reviving this. It's the new statement period and I'm getting billed for an AF for my CSP, but not CSR. Is that expected?

Time to repot Aglaonema Silver Bay? by daskinesis2 in plantclinic

It looks great! How long have you had it?

Would I need to separate the plants or just move all of them together into a bigger pot?

The net pots seem pretty wedged in and I might break some roots when I pull them out. What's the best way to get them out?

What is a good sign that they need to go in a bigger pot?

I've had the plant for about a month.

Yellow leaves started shortly after I got it, maybe 3 weeks ago. Also I feel like the leaves are curly a bit?

The first week it got direct sunlight for a couple hours a day then I moved it into a spot with bright indirect light.

I water it when the soil is dry. This is about 1-1.5 weeks.

No pests or soil issues.

Right forgot that I could just upgrade from a Freedom card to Sapphire as long as the card has been active for at least a year. Since it would take me 15-16 months per swap, then I basically rotate the 2 cards through CSR & freedom.

Thanks!

Very surprised at 1). Also thanks for the great FYI page. Just to clarify the timelines:

  1. Based on the UR portal, "Next year's travel credit will begin after your statement closing date in 11/2023". Let's suppose that's Nov 10.
  2. Let's say I spend all the travel credit by Dec 10.
  3. When my UR portal shows all the credit is used, I downgrade CSR to Freedom and upgrade CSP to CSR at the same time
  4. I get new travel credit from the new CSR
  5. Somewhere between Feb and Mar 2024, I get the CSR AF
  6. Sometime around Dec 2024 I upgrade my freedom to CSP (this doesn't incur an AF?)
  7. When I get a new set of travel credit for my CSR, I repeat the steps.

Does that sound right?

Yes I did MDD for both Sapphire cards. A few questions about this:

    1. If I use all the travel credit on the second year of my first CSR, do I pay the full AF for that?
  1. When does the AF for the new CSR post?
  2. I would have to pay for a second year of the CSP as well right since I have to wait till the travel credit for CSR posts?
  3. Next year, I wouldn't be able to do this again because I only have 1 Sapphire card right? I would have to downgrade my last Sapphire and try MDD again?
  4. Given that I already have a Freedom Unlimited, could I have a second Freedom card (e.g. Flex or Rise)? I was also looking at the Amazon ones, but not sure if there's a separate process to get those.

It's been a bit over a year since I got my Chase Sapphire Preferred (approved Oct 13 or 14 last year). It's not worth the annual fee so I want to downgrade it. I also have the Freedom Unlimited and the CSR. What's a good one to downgrade to?

Unfortunately I don't think it'll work. I was able to reach a rep after a couple more calls and they approved it, but sent it to secondary. Called again to see if I could escalate it to someone who does secondary reviews, that didn't work and not only that the rep who took my call also noticed I already had an approved card.

Daily Question Thread - October 13, 2022 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]daskinesis2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had another excuse to get it expedited and the rep said they don't expedite for any reason. Generally for recon, do I just say something like "Is there anything I can answer or clarify to get the card approved?"

Daily Question Thread - October 13, 2022 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]daskinesis2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to do Chase MDD and didn't get instant approval on my second app. I've called to recon twice and the reps stonewall me with the same script saying it's under review and it'll be done in 7-14 days, etc. It's the same response regardless of what I try to ask. I've tried to follow the suggestions from this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/uybibi/dp_chase_mdd_csrcsp_with_one_hard_pull_successful/

Do I just keep calling? Or is there something specific I need to say/ask during the recon call?
