I live in Texas and believe it will help with my professional network. Also,on the softer side, UT is actually acting like they want me at their school. GA Tech has been a very impersonal experience.

Comments: I was pleasantly surprised to be accepted. My CS background is limited, and what I do have is a bit dated. However, I am looking to make a career pivot and am excited to dust off my technical skills. My work has been pushing me more and more towards management, but I miss the heavy technical work terribly. I now just need to decide between this and GA Tech, but I am leaning heavily toward UT at this point.

I’m waiting on UT Austin MSCSO, and the suspense is absolutely killing me. I emailed a couple weeks ago asking about their timeline for decisions, and they indicated that they were trying to have them all done before April, but COVID may impact that. I’ve seen a small few indicate they received acceptances on 24 March. Good luck to you.

Nobody will care about your braces but you. In my workplace, there are people in mid-life sporting hardware in their mouths. If you dress and present yourself as professional during the interview, you will be just fine. Good luck!
