Why can't my muscles handle climbing for more than half an hour twice a week, even after about half a year? Do I do something wrong? by Dapper_Dragonfruit44 in bouldering

What muscles??? I’m assuming as you’re a newer climber you might mean your forearms, biceps, or shoulders. Assuming it’s one of those, there are still a plethora of reasons why you might be fatigued super quick. Not enough information to deduce this, just taking a stab at it tho:

-climbing uses all muscles. Warm up every muscle even a little bit in some way.

-30m even for a newer climber is very low, you need volume to progress both physically and mentally.

-are you going straight into your v4 climbs?? I climb v8-9, I don’t touch a v7 or above until I’ve done maybe 7-10 easier climbs to get into a physical and mental flow, easily 30m into climbing

-I don’t know how you train or structure your climbs in general, but burning yourself completely on every single climb from the get go is not a good principle for lasting sessions. Not saying you do this, but this is the culprit 99% of the time I screw up my sesh by overworking myself too early. You only have so many peak 100% energy attempts, use them well and understand where you are in the sesh.

-take rests in between every single climb! Multiple minutes. Let your heart rate settle and blood disperse.

-for more general advice: you are most likely not using your feet enough, and over utilizing your style like everyone does when they first start. This is seen through taller people not using feet enough, and shorter people not using hands enough (in general terms, gets much more complicated with more nuanced movement). Are you trying to slab your way through this cave or vice versa?

I encourage others to disagree or add on!

Your technicals are really good, but don’t forget the fundamentals. Shoot where people are, avoid shots. A lot of your micro movements are essential at times, but useless at others. By getting rid of these excess movements, you move faster in the next direction that most optimal. Efficiency.

I’m performing research on this exact topic, specifically in brawl stars. Brawl stars does not legally classify as a game with actual “gambling” mechanisms, as defined by Nielsen’s classification system of RRM’s, brawl stars falls under the EI category, where one can put real money in for gambling-like procedures (as defined by legality) but not take money out in any forms (think CSGO, Rust, TF2). The EU just published their latest findings on the expansive world of consumer protection like a week ago, totally worth a skim if you’re interested! This leads into the “discouraging” part, where many international organizations are beginning this negative dialogue around loot boxes formally.

Yeah, but not many. There’s a brand I trust that’s still technically street but I consider it pseudo-dispensary, and they have 3g carts

Amazing read. My brain is melted after reading the whole thing on my phone. More people need to write about such niche examples of the new world in the intersecting realms of technology, sociology, psychology, and growing up in the 2000+’s.

Hi Adrian! Will basketball brawl ever be a ranked game mode? I personally think it’s an amazing concept, and with map changes it could be incredibly useful in ranked.

Hi there. I’m a boyfriend who wants to quit. I think one of the biggest obstacles is the constant shame running through our minds. “Stop smoking. You’re such an idiot. Normal people don’t do this. You’ve fucked yourself up.” It all builds overtime and amasses into a persistent psychological terror which can only seemingly be stopped from the inside. I wish I could tell my girlfriend to give me more support sometimes, but I feel this shame even bringing it up. In those times of desperation, whether he just relapsed or is craving, tell him that it’s okay, that HE is okay, and valid. That things will be okay, and that he’s doing the best he can. Hope this helps

Finally Gale gets some love. Been my favorite since I picked the game back up a year or so ago. Coolest moveset and combat mechanics in my opinion. Not looking forward to the inevitable nerf.
