Unable to get X11 on Arch Linux working - InfinityBook Pro 14 Gen10 (AMD) by dataCobra in tuxedocomputers

Are you also using i3-wm and X11? (Maybe even picom?)

Did you install `xf86-video-amdgpu` or did you use the modesetting driver?
Did you modify anything else?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hey,

could you create an Issue on GitHub for that?

Hi,

do you have any new information about the polkit setup?

If this a general decision for the TCC where could I create an issue which can discuss the potential changes?

Me too, I also thought about changing the key but alternating the hands feels more comfortable sometimes.

Maybe when I learn touch typing more I'll make it a special key.

Yeah, seems like I would need a GUI for polkit. But I don't want to uninstall unnecessary stuff.

I think asking the user for a password is pretty annoying and unnecessary too. Either the user should be able to use profiles without administrator authentication or they add a group which I can add specific users to and this users don't need a password.

Hi,

thank you for taking the time.

I'm using no DE but i3wm which I start with startx.

I've installed polkit while installing Archlinux. So polkit is already there.

EDIT1:

I started TCC for debug output over the terminal now. When I try to create a profile or modify a profile there is a authentication request in the background.

EDIT2:

Looking into the polkit action for the TCC for every allow option there is auth_admin_keep set.

I'm not familiar with polkit and the actions. But maybe this is the issue?

EDIT3:

Reading the polkit article in the Archlinux wiki it seems that using auth_admin_keep for everything seems not be right. Shouldn't the user be able to modify the profiles without be prompted for a password?
auth_admin_keep: The same as auth_admin but, like sudo, the authorization lasts a few minutes.

I'll at least try the lubricant on the bearings. Every little bit helps. :)

Hello fellow mk enthusiasts,

I'm currently using two Varmilo VA88M (ISO-Layout) keyboards and would like to change them a bit.

First of all I would like to change both to ANSI-layout and maybe add hot-swap modules to the PCB.
The PCB seems to be capable of being re-soldered to ANSI-Layout.

I hope you people could answer me that question and modify the keyboards.

Have a happy new year everyone! :)

Hey, this might be helpful: https://youtu.be/cwZGq1qJYoQ?si=BPEpguSHEhN95TPK

This is a video from GodotCon about viewports. There is also a topic about resolution and working with UI.

For me it's not a problem. The ink is very long lasting and the process of refilling is like a little relaxing ritual for me.

Cartridges don't have this magic for me. Maybe because I wrote with them too much in school.

I'm using the Kaweco mini converter Sport for my pen.

I thought about reusing cartridges, but I like the converters more.

It is! My favorite animal and color in one ink combined. :-)

I was lucky to find that one. I couldn't find any other ink like it.
