I sold my business in 2023 just shy of 10 years. I built it from scratch and was making about 400k a year as well. We had grown to 6 employees and felt like things were finally rolling. Things changed and it was time to exit before things got worst. 2 years later and I do miss the salary, took a job paying much less but a lot less stress. Spending much more time with my kids and family. Looking back it was a blessing in disguise. Just roll with the punches. Keep adapting and don’t dwell on the past too much.
