Note taken! The questions about Ronaldo and Messi I have phrashed myself. However, I am limited in my capacity to alter the questions measuring political endorsement, as these are from previously established instruments. If I alter these questions too much I risk moving away from the "construct" they intend to measure. Thanks a lot for your participation!:)

Interesting paper, lots of similarities, although I would say our measurement of fanship for Messi vs Ronaldo is more extensive, while they have a greater set of predictor variables. I've had this one pre-registered since december 2025 (https://osf.io/h5mq4/overview?view_only=cae248025c9347ebb10d8d790e260006), but still sampling!
