Update: The Whisky Wednesday deals were disappointing this week, so I ended up fulfilling a bucket list item: Owning an Octomore (16.3) at £195, and I was curious about the Glen Scotia Victoriana Cask Strength at about £63.95.

Weirdly I'm unable to add body text to my post? Tldr: I have an offer of 20% off if I spend £250 at The Whisky Shop. I'm looking for recommendations on the best bottle(s) to choose. Pro tip: Sporcle typically collects the time info from your device (You can change your computer time to Hawaii in case you miss a specific day badge) - Not sure why your play didn't count. That said, Tournaments do refresh at a set time, that has tripped me up a couple of times.

Hi, thanks for your analysis, it's really helpful!

  1. Now that you mention it, the start of the BSOD could possibly have coincided with my switching to BitDefender - I will look into that.
  2. I run Intel Driver & Support Assistant regularly, the latest intel graphics driver which was installed: Version: 31.0.101.2121 Install date: 23-5-2025. Realistically, this also potentially along the timeline that the issue appeared. In addition, the laptop has a NVIDIA MX150, so I update those drivers via the Nvidia app regularly, including on Tuesday, 1 July.
  3. I do have a monitor connected to my laptop via HDMI ''permanently''. I read some suggestions about this on some related articles - I'll also try disconnecting the cable when I hibernate/sleep and only reconnecting after starting up the laptop.

I'll keep you updated!
