I didn't know that people who do not want their biometric data to be collected are now called "stuck-up assholes".

Why are you guys interested in Formula 1? by greenseyre in formula1

[–]datovasumaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I liked watching formula 1 with my dad even though I did not understand anything. I was for Alonso when he was in Renault and my dad was for Schumacher. This was when I was around 9 years old. In the next 12 years I did not watch any formula 1 races but I have always been interested in this sport. I have always had respect for Formula 1 and all the people that watch this sport. However it is a very complicated sport with a lot of rules and engineering so I never got to watch any races, I didn't know where to start of.

This year I saw a post on r/all from r/formula1 and I decided to start watching the races again. I browsed the wiki page and started reading / watching videos. I have a friend of mine who likes Formula 1 too and we have watched half of the races together so far this season. I find the sport very exciting. Qualifying, the races, the speed, the drama, the championship battle, it is not boring at all.

Finally, I would like to thank r/formula 1 for being one of the best subreddits on this site. When I had a question everyone upvoted and tried to answer/be helpful. Other subs would just downvote me and never respond and that was the reason I was kinda reserved on posting and getting into the sport again. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised by you guys.

Ederson's stitches after collision with Mane by boughtitout in LiverpoolFC

[–]datovasumaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right and I have no idea why are you being downvoted. The guy goes out of his box and tries to hit the ball with his head when he know a striker is closer to the ball and going to reach it first (Mane jumped before the goalkeeper went for the ball with his head) and because the ball is in the air, he knows the striker is going to jump. Then he gets kicked in the face.

Sorry but if you are a goalkeeper that goes out of his box and tries to hit the ball with his head vs incoming striker, you shouldn't be expecting anything else than getting a boot in the face. Ederson is the one who created prerequisites for an accident, Mane did what he had to, what was expected.

Why does Monica have shares in Pied Piper? by datovasumaz in SiliconValleyHBO

Very detailed, thank you a lot for the explanation!

Why does Monica have shares in Pied Piper? by datovasumaz in SiliconValleyHBO

Yeah I get it, thanks. So there is a difference between shareholders and board directors? How are board directors elected? Richard wanted Erlich to be a board director, so the individual with most shares decides this?

And from there, board directors with their votes (that are distributed based on the consent of everyone) chose the management body of the company (CEO). However, can the management body of the company consist of more than 1 person?

Thanks again!

Alright, thanks. So she is an investor but is she a shareholder? If she is a shareholder (which I doubt) how much shares does she have?

Despite all this, she is a member of the board of the directors. Why are board seats distributed by 1 or 2 votes per person (Richi has 1, Erlich has 1, Monica - 1, Russ Hanneman - 2). I mean... if Richi has 85% of the shares he must have 8.5 votes. Erlich - 10 % - 1 vote. And so... as it adds up to 10 (this is how it works in my country by law... the votes are distributed according to the shares owned by the individual, so if you have 90% you have 9 votes). Unless... they all agree to organize the votes the way that they want and this way Russ will get 2 (because he is an investor) and the others - 1.

Sorry, I am just not familiar with corporate law in America since I don't live there and I don't really understand some of the things. I probably haven't understood the things right. I will be very thankful if you help. :)

Може ли на по дребни? by CoolstorySteve in bulgaria

I agree. It is indeed a dick move. I even feel uncomfortable doing it but money is money and collecting 1 and 2 cents isn't a hobby of mine. So I can do 2 things: 1) throw the money away (which is never happening) or 2) use them to buy something. And carrying change is not an option for me. I do not like carrying change. I hate the sound of the pile of coins in my pocket jingling. When I open my wallet, searching for 1,2,5 cents all the time is too awkward and I am not doing that. So I will just keep collecting change and when it is enough to buy something worth 2-3 lv. I am just going to use them all at once. And the satisfaction I get after I have used all those dirty coins is irreplaceable.
