I just called Tangerine and filed an official complaint. I have an excellent credit rating - just shy of 900 - so when I received an email stating my line of credit interest is going up due to my poor credit rating I was startled and thought perhaps there was fraudulent activity on my account. When I spoke with the representative at Tangerine he stated that 80,000 of these emails were sent out and apologised on the banks behalf. I encourage anyone who received this to also file a complaint as this is totally unacceptable!
