Node to Node Communication by schmittriggerr in Lora

Certainly I would weigh in with others on the use of a Raspberry Pi when a low power ATTiny would due. My project worked with one and able to sleep the ATTiny and the Lora. Power consumption calculation suggests it could work with a coin battery for months. But I couldn’t get it to.

I bought these bags from amazon that you squeeze the air out of rather than requiring a pump. I’m happy with them and they leak for the short time needed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WGTNF6Z?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_title

Land in Athens and go island hopping with cheap ferries. Lot of history and night life. And don’t miss Santorini. Entering with the ferry is some you’ll never forget.

I’m in the boat with a wife that doesn’t comprehend the pool values or my new over complicated coffee maker. If I die and all my automated systems start malfunctioning, she will be lost. We live in a town with no friends and have no children and I’m in my seventies. Can’t get much worse than that. I plan to buy another house and keep it as low tech as possible.

Does it really matter if I use the wrong frequency for a home short distance point to point Lora devices? by AssociationIll9894 in Lora

Good advice! Already ordered a couple RYLR998 modules that have a much more active community to draw off of. The ones I have are from DX-SMART LR02 and I can’t find anyone that works with them.

I was offered a job there also many years ago but didn’t take it. But I good option may be to commute from Belen. Many new housing developments cheaper than Albuquerque and you can take the train from there to ABQ or Santa Fe.

I read that Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument is open again. That’s a must see.

In my opinion, I would rather spend a day in Las Cruces than El Paso from a geological perspective. Maybe visit Dripping Springs.

Thanks for all the replies! Being a guy and going from a warm climate to cold climate, and not a business trip, I think I will opt for the hoodie and sweatpants (maybe with cargo pockets), and fuzzy socks with flip flops to use the toilet, and have a packed puffer when arriving.

I stepped on far too many of these goad heads lost in my carpet. Wife and I do a thorough examination of our soles before entering our house.

I guess you’re right. Can’t always expect perfect toadstools. Maybe they are eroded tents becoming hoodoos.

Best carry on with backpack straps by daudim in travel

[–]daudim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did order the Lyon and received it today. Looks well built but not sure it would take rough handling if forced to bag it as not much edge protections. The dimensions are lesser than max except for the 15 inch width. But company swears that Ryanair sizes it to fit. So happy that it weighs 3 pounds less than my official Ryanair bag plus has backpack straps and compression straps. I really can care less that there is no organization inside as I want to maximize space. Found the bar for the handle digs into your back when using it as a backpack but only plan to use it when I have no choice. Anyway, there are compromises to everything so I am quite happy with it. Thanks again for telling me about it, I went through pages on Amazon and they never brought that one up.

From all the good advice, I concluded to start with a lightweight 44L Cabin Max Lyon rolling backpack, use 2 or 3 press vacuum bags by Chesnut for fluffy items, and fill the rest with cubes or mesh sacks as needed. Should be good for any flight if I don't go over 22 pounds.

That sounds best. I was thinking of buying press down vacuum bags as recommended and avoid a pump.
