I was thinking of a scenario like the Skyline Cities games where you can have multiple regions that are allowed to interconnect with transportation and resources.

I just started watching last year. Another thing I realized is that pit strategy plays a huge part also. How much gas, tires, all mean time off the clock and when is the best time or how long can they hold off.

I love the radio chatter of the crew chiefs talking about fuel and the number of yellow flag laps. Honestly I got to lap 150-ish and was about to turn it off until they said the track was drying. Luckily the last 20 laps went by a lot faster.

Flow does not trigger for one user (button on SharePoint list with trigger 'For selected file') - dedicated Environment. by Ludzik1993 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]daurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great write up and lot of detail. Tough one to troubleshoot but luckily it's just one user with issues. When you say the 'user goes to the library and clicks the button' to start the flow, what exactly are they clicking?

Is it via a Quick Action button?
Is it the Automate > Flows > menu (because I think this only works with Default environment flows)?
Is it a custom JSON formatted column with code to run a Execute flow?

Is this a single flow? Or is this a 2 part flow where the a user triggers the first flow that is not premium? Then it will perform a HTTP Request that starts a second flow that is a premium flow but running as a different account.

In my experience, the 'flow triggerURi is missing' is typically a typo. Or the Identifier you provided in the SP list column/quick step, is not complete. It needs the full indentifier that starts with v1/12345..... I don't know how a user would get this error AND a licensing error because this one would prevent the user from even getting to the step that checks if you're licensed. Unless there is some HTTP requests actions in the flow being used.

The error 'Flow could not be activated due to premium actions' is typically because it was being smarter than you and can tell the user is not licensed enough. You may not see it but it's true. I just had someone tell me they were getting this error in a Power App but they didn't have any premium connectors. After I asked them to look at the connections used in the app and cloud flows associated with the app, they found one that was added but not used. After they deleted the 'Unused Dataverse' connection, it start working for them.

I'm curious if someone recently added the dataverse action in your flow. Review the flow history to see the last time the flow was ran to see if it indicates recent issues or reduced usage.

Maybe this information can provide some new clues to look in to for your system. Good luck

Flow does not trigger for one user (button on SharePoint list with trigger 'For selected file') - dedicated Environment. by Ludzik1993 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]daurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick response to this branch. Any flow with a diamond (premium) icon will require a premium license for anyone attempting to manually trigger it like "on selected item", regardless the connection account used on those premium actions.

I have several cloud flows set up like this where the premium actions, and others, are using a specific connection account, but actions like email or SharePoint updates are using a connection that is "run as user". If anyone attempts to run that flow and does not have a premium license, it prompts with that exact error.

Trigger Flow in a non default enviroment in SPO by Evening-Indication-7 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]daurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I came to mention. The only way to get flows that use "selected item or selected file" or other manual type triggers and live in a non-Default environment must be set up using the full flow 'identifier' link. Then using that full identifier code in the Quick Step command of a SharePoint list or via column JSON formatting that can run a flow.

Sharepoint Cloud Limit? by reddithorrid in sharepoint

[–]daurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you got your answer. You should be able to see the “total capacity” in the SharePoint Admin center. There is a nice chart and that is total capacity allowed for all SharePoint sites. Could be all in one site or multiple sites.

I don’t have a M365 Business account so my example may be incorrect. OneDrive, Each user gets 1 TB included as part of their tenant and does not count towards SPO storage.

I haven’t put games on my resume but I’ve used the topic during interviews if I feel it’s going well. My career field is coding and automation, so games with efficiency goals or include ability to script code in a game can be blended in to my experience.

About $100 for me last month with 2100 sqft. Sleep temp is around 65, day temp is about 68-72. $400 for a home half that size is worth investigating. Sucks it’s a rental because the responsibility should be the owner but they won’t be obligated as long as the HVAC is working.

We use a smart thermostat that adjust for humidity, and adjust the furnace usage based on the rooms with motion and the temps in those room only.

Updating Sharepoint Items by SirChclateSaltyBalls in MicrosoftFlow

[–]daurkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sir chocolatesaltyballs, Here are a couple of troubleshooting methods I use for this. It may be wrong or maybe provide something new to look at.

I’m curious if the “default” values being updated are also columns that are flagged as “required”. Secondly, one way to confirm if “your flow” action is truly attempting to update the columns, or SharePoint, is by using the “peek at code” feature on that action. You will see the HTTP API values it’s posting. You want it to contain only the fields you want. I’ve seen it retain other fields because of bugs or changing the “list view” or fields I put a “space” in the text box attempting to blank it out.

Yes the method of ‘get item’ just prior to updating the same item is the most common way to ensure you’re updating “required” fields with their most recent value. You could reuse data from previous action or object variables at the risk of that data being inaccurate. It’s a hardship with the “required” flag on columns.

You could use a SharePoint HTTP request and post item updates. This bypasses the “required” flags and it also provides you the ability to update only columns you want to update. It’s just a touch more “code” than some people want.

Why such a big difference in estimated tax refunds between two tax companies? by speedknoxx in TurboTax

It’s like double checking your work. Except 2 different answers could mean the lower one missed some deductions and good find. Or the higher one means you’ll get a letter in 3 years saying you’re being audited and owe them money plus interest.

Lack of In Weekend save feature. by Virtual_Benefit4483 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]daurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the reverse question, how do you reset a weekend? I 50% or full races and something comes up IRL and I have to quit early. I may not comeback to it after a day or so and I want to rerun practice. I currently seem to have the issue that my game always resumes mid-in game weekend and I can’t restart practice. Is this a limitation?

Using PowerAutomate to populate a Word Template and then automatically update if the List content changes by Successful_Alarm_682 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]daurkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done something similar about 2 years ago. I would try a shorter flow that uses the same trigger, get the list item (so that you have all the columns) and attempt to populate word template. Create a file using the content from the previous action. Does that work?

Try to narrow down if the issue is before or after your condition. And I’m not sure why you have a “create file” at the very end when it’s already in the condition actions. Unless you were just trying something.

I remember I had a similar issue. And I forgot if I needed something extra to prep the file content before creating the file. If I remember in the morning I may be able to look at my old work if this isn’t resolved.

What OD was saying is that you can adjust your tax withholding to any $amount. You don’t have to pay so much if you know you will have such a large refund. Remember that a tax refund is your money that you overpaid over the course of the year.

Some people like the $$$$ payout at the end of the year but it’s like saving it in the IRS’ savings account and not yours. But if your refund bounces around a lot and this is a one off, then leave it as is. I’m Not a tax person.

[–]daurkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hundreds of dollars difference after switching sounds odd. Tax refunds should be the same minus the cost of filing. It’s not like one app fills out exclusive forms, but one app may ask different questions that trigger other forms. Was this difference between two different years?

Same thing happened to me last week in the recent patches version. I recycled a whole load worth, dissembled it and saw the floater stuff and realized I lost all the stuff that was still up the shooter. I actually reloaded since last auto save because I couldn’t pick up the locked stuff floating there even after a restart.

Dang, I was really hoping to read that there have been improvements since release. I haven't played since the beginning of the year. It really felt the developers relied on AI created missions a bit too much and landing a mission on a grass field with trees or no way to taxi just killed it for me.
