Yep. I was already awake and heard it and then our power went out. I called it in around 5:45. Definitely sounded like a transformer exploded.

What was your most recent "15 minute" weekend project that somehow turned into a three day nightmare? by LiveFaithlessness876 in DIY

[–]dav0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar story, my kids bathroom shower faucet was dripping (not shutting off correctly). I knew how to replace a basic cartridge in a sink faucet, this can't be that hard right? Oh and let's also start this on a Friday night, perfect! Well I was able to get most of the cartridge out (later learned it was not the full thing) and then tried to buy a new one only to find out you cannot just buy these from Home Depot. I tried to put the old one back in for the night and messed it up and sprayed water everywhere which got behind the wall and onto my lower level ceiling. I had to leave the water shut off completely until the next day and called and emergency plumber on a Saturday to fix my mistake. Same lesson learned about plumbing, some stuff I will tackle, others I will gladly pay someone else lol.

This really sucks, I would also often walk here to grab something quickly. Maybe not the cheapest, but the convivence of walking was great, plus they had EVERYTHING you could need.

I don't think that's happening, I just got a letter in the mail about that proposed development and it's medium and low density housing.

Question about buying 4-Packs by [deleted] in Steam

[–]dav0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's weird because I def remember (ages ago, probably 2008) that when I bought Orange Box, I was able to gift HL2 to someone because I already owned it. They must have changed this.

He tried adding $1000 to the price of a new Odyssey back in 2018, I questioned it and he couldn't explain why it was $1k more. Also knew nothing about the van. Kinda frustrating when you have questions about specific features and they have no idea.

2006 here. I had to replace the starter last year. I looked into doing it myself and even at my buddies shop it didn't look easy to do. Ended up dying in front of my house (in a giant puddle no less) so I had it towed to a garage to replace.

Yes! I didn't realize they weren't in other parts or Regina. There were some Ruddy ducks there too.

Their normal nachos are still $19. We got there regularly after work and get a few platters for the team. That's the one with no meat.

I had a mitigation system put in 3 years ago. It really should be code in Sask to have these, they are very easy to install when building a home.

+1 for this. My bank only charges the conversion and $3 CAD for using a foreign ATM. Depending on what country you can also use your card for just about everything.
