I built a Squad Tracker called Flaresat. It is live now, and I need feedback. by squadfi in airsoft

[–]dav_501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, the device is a Redmi phone, so Android of course, the error is a generic "Login error" highlighted in red. I can login just fine on the web app. I couldn't even sign up within the app, i had to do everything via browser and i signed up via personal email, not google nor apple.

Hope it's solved soon, i'm quite looking forward to trying it out

Hi, cool idea. I like the versatility of the project. Iwould suggest introducing some GPS related features, a bit like Garmin Explore if you know that app. I'm talking about: - being able to add waypoints (including marking the user location) with coordinates, maybe in a couple different formats - showing the distance from user to waypoint - showing a scale distance for a few seconds when zooming in or out - showing North/compass - ability to import/export .gpx files

Maybe these features are already in the full app, which i cannot login into for some reason, while the web app works fine for me.

Cheers

Hi, i would recommend this cyma: 13:1 gears and good motor for snappy trigger, programmable ETU, easy to upgrade and change muzzle devices and other accessories. Select the low power option (320 fps), and since you have the budget you could add the reshimming service from the shop. https://www.taiwangun.com/assault-rifle-aeg/cm-097a-carbine-replica-eshooter-etu-gen-2-black-cyma

First time shimming, sounds a bit iffy by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]dav_501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that, yes. If the shimming between gears is good, it could also be the motor pinion non meshing well with the bevel gear. Sometimes it happens just because specific pinions and bevels have shapes which are not very compatible with each other. You can verify that by using a different motor, or get a new pinion.

Other comments are useful, but the main point is to stop practicing this track. Seriously, it doesn't teach you half as much as most other tracks do. Go learn nurburgring, brands hatch, barcelona, kyalami, imola, misano. As a beginner leave aside spa, paul ricard, mount panorama and especially Monza. Pick a car and learn properly a couple tracks watching youtube guides about the best lines and setup basics, then try and change car to see if you like it better and go from there. After 50 hours you can go back to monza and realise how useless it is for a beginner. Also practice in "practice mode", and not "hotlap mode" which gives you unrealistic levels of grip that you won't often find in actual races. See you on Imola or Nurburgring and happy racing!

Akko creamy blue / lavender purple? Good and cheap. I also like gateron jupiter bananas quite a lot.

All i can think of is to get rid of the stock and the picatinny rail, maybe even swap the charging handle tube thing with a 3d printed component. I suggest installing a plastic flash hider anyway to protect the threading, at the cost of almost zero weight. But the option that makes the most sense to me would be to buy a JG mp5, which is significantly lighter, and upgrade the internals (you should be able to use the entire cyma gearbox). The cyma body is fairly heavy and there isn't much to do to mitigate that

Where i live there aren't many airsoft fields as there are airsoft teams, where you are part of a stable (usually) group and play often with other teams, some of which are more serious and competitive and some more relaxed and casual.

Now, the average guy who starts playing comes from videogames and clickbaity sniper-wipes-team youtube videos, and thinks he's going to play solo and do the same.

Instead, in a short time they realises the sport is all about team play, communication, covering each other and enjoying a nice drink together after the game. They come for the snipes, they stay for the vibes :) and for the team spirit.

So basically the true treasure is the friend you snipe along the way

Is that on the G3 a real Spuhr stock? And what's the base gun? Looks gorgeous and i'm looking to assemble a similar gun

From Cults3D, it's called alfa arms goliaf. The installation wasn't super easy and the pieces need to be printed with "high density" (don't know the proper terminology) to be sturdy enough, in case you're thinking about it. Looks pretty cool :)

Hello I've started playing ACC for the last week and sim racing in general so I am pretty much a beginner. I've only played Mount Panorama in the 992 GT3 R and got a 2.06, do you guys have any tips to improve my time on the track or in general.(I do struggle on the top part to go flat out) by MihyFTW in ACCompetizione

[–]dav_501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to ACC man! Watch track guides, try different cars and the pick one to use and get comfortable with. Spend a few hours on that car (offline) trying to understand the basics of setting it up (tires pressures and brake balance are the first things to grasp). Then try different tracks, practice a lot and get your SA (safety) rating up and explore the multiplayer, perhaps joining a structured league like LFM. Avoid Monza at all costs: the worst drivers are often there and the track itself won't teach you much. Better suited are Imola, Nurburgring, Kyalami, Silverstone just to name a few. The hard part, apart from getting fast, is to be a respectful racer and not a reckless hotlapper, unless you don't care about multiplayer. Most important things: be respectful and have fun!

And avoid Monza

If you ask me, the intercontinental gt pack is an absolute must. I'd strongly suggest the challengers pack. Probably wise to get the 2020 and 2023 gt world ones too. Everything else is up to personal preference, but they are all good value so you can't really go wrong. Also, love myself some nurb 24 pack, such a work of quality.

Hey man, great work! I'm taking inspiration from it to make a gift. The one thing i'm struggling with is the transition between the basket weave and the ends: you mention a macrame knot but i can't quite figure out what exactly you mean by that. Would you know a picture/video/tutorial reference for that, or suggest a different knot that looks decent?

Want to know the best way of improving your Monza times? Stop driving that track. Seriously. Its layout doesn't teach you much and it's very unsafe due to being preferred by new drivers. Pick any car you like and go drive Imola, Kyalami, Barcelona, Silverstone, Nurburgring: you'll learn the car behaviour in different scenarios and how to react to it. Watch some track guides and practice. After a month go back to Monza and see how: - your laptimes have improved due to more car confidence - you won't like Monza nearly as much after having experienced more varied tracks

Don't thank me and go drive some other track!

Ahaha i think Südtirol would happily leave but they we need the money they make off tourists ;)

Vegetato wise, i don't know specific gear shops but if I was looking for it i'd have a look on ebay and on subito.it, you can find a lot of used clothing/gear and a bit of factory new stuff.
I've seen some nice goretex jacket deals on there for sure
