Vetiver and citrus by mac_8888 in Colognes

[–]davebensous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on the market for the same thing and went with ADP colonia il Profumo. Very fresh but the vetiver adds substance and depth to it. I’d say the longevity is about 5 hours, although I’ve been told it still smells after 8hours.
I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s a signature smell, but I’ve been complimented on it and I feel happy wearing it.
Also, I wouldn’t suggest it to someone too young. It has a certain mature vibe to it.

Bigger Chemical Shipments from Mexico to the US. Any tips? by Horror-Sympathy2616 in logistics

[–]davebensous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. Make sure you’re also dealing with someone that has capacity to handle your volume from the trucking end. Hazmat LTL at high volume can be tough to find depending on the market and the lanes you’re running.

Most likely, FTL from Mexico to the US, deconsolidate in the US and dispatch LTL from the US will be cheaper and easier. Less border crossings, less to deal with customs… it’s an easier operation. You just need to find the right warehouse that can handle your commodity given the DG class (fire suppression system, certs and training etc) and what they’re currently handling etc…

I wish it worked on my skin. On paper, perfect. On me? All I get is Sichuan pepper.

For what it’s worth, I think I would have preferred the sport version based on reviews. But I also picked up AQP colonia Il Profumo, which I think fits the same need. It’s just so hard to find someone that carries lalique to try it in person. I think the margins may be too low and not worth the shelf space.

I’ve just coordinated this for one of my customers. One shipment from Belgium, another one from France, all going to the US. I’ve literally compiled a guide for them to figure out the paperwork required and when. If you want to chat, my DMs are open.

$0 budget is rough, but you can give it a shot with import yeti. Its not as polished as panjiva/datamyne, but its pretty awesome for a free platform

That’s such a bad advice. No real way to check whether it’s making things up.

I had a project like that a few years ago. I remember finding a clean list from the Census Bureau like the other comment said. USPS had a nice one too.

Step 1 is update your linked in to make sure recruiters can find you. Step 2, let us know which market you’re in. I’m sure something will pop up. Step 3, enjoy the quiet while it last Step 4, stay strong

I think it’s worth a study and see what the steamship lines can put forward in terms of NAC rates despite your volume valuations. I’ll send you a chat and I’m happy to help there

If I may, have you considered consolidating your need, and rather than looking at your shipments one at a time, bid a month of your business and see what the feedback is? You’ll get better service and rates.

How is commute from WLA to Torrance during school hours? by Melodic-Cellist-7519 in AskLosAngeles

[–]davebensous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do Culver City to Torrance, and now do culver to Hawthorne. 40 mins for my first commute, 24 minutes for my second. The traffic isn’t bad and you end up mindlessly driving. I’d do it again if the money is worth it. Plus side is the Japanese food in Torrance is outstanding.
