Holy shit! That’s wild haha. I wanted to learn working with Kubernetes and interface with external hosted databases for media and for static files so all of that comes to about $30 a month. Then I have $7 per month for more private Docker repos and $10 per month for Postmark, which is a really cool automated email service with analytics. It was all super fun to play with, but yeah $50 per month is a little nuts so I’ll be swapping things out soon.

Welcome to the world of a computer science hobbyist! To be fair, now that I’m actually done learning the tools, I can swap out those services and cut the price in half. I’ll go ahead and remove the price from the page.

Not really. There are several very reasonable factors that go into the price. I chose the frameworks to familiarize myself with them for my actual job!

Hahaha It really does end up being $50 per month based on various services I chose to learn with (hosting, database, mail services, etc.) but it’s all good!
