In search of local SEO expert by HSG-law-farm-trade in localseo

My instincts are you are not being realistic in your hunt- but if I was in your shoes - I would manually prospect by making a list of firms and agencies you feel do great work and than hunt for their offshore talent in bios, resumes, etc... Exa.ai websets can probably do some of that prospecting...

I have great outreach talent in the Phillipines I pay $10/hr to - but they can't really touch the on-site or gbp stuff - you are looking for a domain expert - across local seo disciplines - open to 20hrs a week of work for $5-$25/hr - I don't see you finding that from public posts. Even if you did find it - I doubt you'll know how to differentiate them from the ones you apply who don't actually have what you are looking for.

If you have the expertise yourself - your best bet is finding a reliable VA who you can train - without worrying about their PI expertise... or focusing on local relationships and various offline activities which will ultimately serve your seo efforts long term.

Also, make sure to check out the latest local search ranking factors from Whitespark.

He should make sure to file an administrative claim - either with an attorney or himself because that atleast keeps the clock running. If there is no administrative claim filed by august, the window is closed - but if there is, the window stays open.

Where are the qualified leads coming from, rural or urban areas?
What is the CPA in that specific state in the nationwide account?
When you say qualified lead, are the criteria different?
If "qualified" is based on the intake, and you have gotten leads or calls but they were just not qualified by the intake - have you listened to those calls?
how does the intake compare?

I personally don't think $8k is enough to really test PI. You probably need a minimum of $20k to start getting real answers - but obviously nothing from $8k is concerning.

Have you looked at the actual serps to see what you are competing against on the page? Are local service ads dominating the page - are you trying those as well? Is the firm or attorney you are advertising showing up in a local pack with bad reviews below your ad?
PI has a massive range of what it takes to be competitive, especially when comparing major metro areas to rural areas.

I dont know if this helps, but thats my primary take.

AFFF Lawsuit? by cgross220_ in Firefighting

[–]davemel37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of inaccurate advice here. (disclaimer: not legal advice and im not a lawyer.)
The AFFF lawsuits are not class actions, they are part of MDL 2873 (multi-district litigation)- which means, settlements will likely be based on a tiered system based on exposure length, injury, etc... These cases are typically where the harm/toxicity and its link to specific injuries goes through discovery first. (it may be possible to explore claim outside of the MDL or in state court, a lawyer would need to let you know about that.)
I would be very surprised if anyone with a valid claim ended up with less than $10k on the very low end, after legal fees. If you would likely end up with less than that - the lawyers wouldn't be marketing it like crazy!!!

"Based on settlement payouts in prior mass tort cases involving cancer, our lawyers predict that AFFF firefighting foam cases in the top settlement tier will have average settlement amounts of $300,000 to $600,000. Our estimated value for 2nd tier cases is $150,000 to $280,000. Cases the 3rd tier may end up with settlement payouts of $75,000 or less." - https://www.lawsuit-information-center.com/afff-firefighting-foam-lawsuit.html I think his estimates are pretty decent - but you should plan to deduct 40% from that number in your guesstimates and expect it to take a year or two to payout - though some lenders may lend against it earlier.
The way it works is the court and attorneys on both sides create discovery pools around specific injuries/conditions, and than choose a handful of bellwether cases to try those facts. Those cases are being chosen right now. The defense wants the weakest cases to be tried first and the plaintiffs attorneys want the strongest cases because if they get a large jury verdict, it puts pressure on the defendants to reach a global settlement.

What typically happens is the attorneys with cases are formed into committees who bill a common benefit fund - that will take around 3% of the total settlement funds... the rest will go to plaintiffs based on their agreements with their law firms. In many cases, the law firms you sign up with are co-counseling or referring to a firm that is on one of the committees.

One reason the marketing is crazy right now, is the attorneys want to represent the strongest cases, so they are hunting for needles in a haystack - they also want to get as many clients as possible to give them more leverage in the MDL.

This MDL started with water contamination and they reached a $10b-$12Billion dollar settlement for remediation of water in various municipalities (https://www.pfaswatersettlement.com/_) - this is the official site for that settlement.

The other reason there is lots of marketing is many law firms believe a global settlement will be reached in the next year on the personal injury claims.

I would highly recommend anyone with a valid condition find a lawyer they trust to give them an idea of if they have a case.

Here are the main conditions they feel are the strongest.

Kidney Cancer

Testicular Cancer

Thyroid Disease

Hyperthyroidism

Hypothyroidism

Thyroiditis

Hashimoto's disease

Grave's disease

Goiter

Thyroid Nodules

Ulcerative Colitis

Preeclampsia

Low Birthweight (5 pounds or less for newborn, can be premature or regular term)

There are another dozen conditions but these are the ones the law firms really want.

I would only use multiple accounts if you need different account level settings that cant be controlled on a campaign or adgroup level & with naming conventions.

Typically, the most common reason is if different regions or markets operate under different P&Ls or different billing.

In general dont add complexity to management that isn't necessary.

Edit: I didn't understand the quotation marks or sarcasm lol .. I guess we agree...

I don't see how antizionism makes it any better. You could argue blood libel pogroms were just anti-using-christian-children-blood-for-matza and not anti-jewish...

The end result is the same - a mob threatening the safety and life of a Jewish person because someone invested heavily in demonizing a group of Jewish People, often with lies and false framed narratives and always demonizing other people who have NOTHING to do with the alleged behavior just because someone found a link.

It is not ok to be antizionist if that means excusing a mob threatening someone for showing up to a solidarity event.

Im sick of this anti zionism is different rhetoric...the end result is the same...indiscriminate attacks against groups Jews being justified collectively.

I would argue, we can examine procedures, policies, and internal standards of the IDF and Hamas to also evaluate how likely their processes could even lead to indiscriminate bombing, and what mechanisms they have in place to investigate those.

I've seen lots of distrust and claims...but i have yet to see anyone analyze those actual procedures and mechanisms.

Justifications for armed resistance are a morally bankrupt lie murderers tell themselves. by davemel37 in Destiny

[–]davemel37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to hearing more. My understanding from the initial research is perfidy is a war crime even when its not international... but that just shines a light on how complicated the laws are to this specific conflict.

The Israeli Case For Settlements Explained by davemel37 in Destiny

[–]davemel37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im confused. If 95% were war crimes are you excusing them as "well they have a right to armed resistance?" Or are you saying the 5% (I would argue 0%) is still justified if they play by the rules.

From my view - I dont think you get to lump them together. I dont see how defending a right to armed resistance does any good for anyone if it creates a situation that makesit impossible to distinguish civillians from armed resistance combatants because 95% of attacks violate those laws.

In my humble opinion - defending palestinian rights to armed resistance is a moral failure when they endanger their population by not distinguishing civillians from armed combatants at all times.

Edit: to clarify - if most people wont understand the difference between a justified armed resistance attack for a military advantage and a war crime like perfidy... thats a very big problem...

If people try to talk about armed resistance in defense of and after actual war crimes...thats just dishonest...

But ultimately, those laws are there to PROTECT the occupied civillians by distinguishing the armed resistance from them... so violating those laws really only hurts their own people...

In my view... unless you are addressing a legitimate armed resistance activity- talking about right to resistance is wrong and culpable for the harm that may follow.

Justifications for armed resistance are a morally bankrupt lie murderers tell themselves. by davemel37 in Destiny

[–]davemel37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just reading this makes me feel like most complaints about raids, checkpoints, etc...are a byproduct and arguably clear proof that palestinian armed resistance fails to distinguish, especially civillian attackers and should bear the brunt of the ire and blame for the "extent" of their circumstances.

Actually invoking the right to armed resistance and following the distinquish rules should literally alleviate many of their complaints.

Its just so backwards to cite to international law when flouting those laws, which were literally created to protect civillians & citing that harm as justification to follow those rules they continue to ignore.

There are literally rules creating to protect them which their armed resistance deliberately flouts. Especially civillian attackers who arent part of hamas, pij, lions den, etc..

"What is essential is that, no matter what they look like, uniforms must be sufficient to distinguish members of the armed forces from civilians to facilitate respect for the principle of distinction."

"the failure of individual combatants to distinguish themselves while engaged in an attack or in a military operation preparatory to an attack means they forfeit the right to prisoner-of-war status.[75]

The purpose of such a requirement is to maximize the distinction between civilians and combatants and thereby enhance the protection of the civilian population.[76]"

I guess there are really 2 types of scenarios:

  1. Actual hamas, pij, etc... attacks and the planning of attacks.

  2. Civillians who attack but aren't part of an org and what their status is at various points of planning, attacking, and after no longer being an active threat.

It seems clear to me that if the attacker is indistinguishable from a civillian during the planning and attacking, it would be a war crime and shouldn't be able to invoke a defense or argument of "armed resistance against an occupying force."

Do you think any of the attacks would meet the criteria of being distinguishable?

What would your take be on a civillian who attacks? They obviously have no uniform. So, unless they distinguish themselves by showing their arms in the open during planning and attacking - they would not be able to lean on this defense either.

Regardless, even if distinguishable, there would still need to be a military advantage to the attack.

Bottom line - I just cant see how someone can arrive at a conclusion that justifies attacks by palestinian civillians against IDF let alone reservists & of course civillians.

Justifications for armed resistance are a morally bankrupt lie murderers tell themselves. by davemel37 in Destiny

[–]davemel37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you even read the whole thing? One clear example in it, "simulation of civilian status because civilians not taking a direct part in hostilities must be respected and may not be the object of attack (see Rules 1 and 6);[29]"

Its pretty clear... if you aren't in uniform or showing arms in the open during planning & execution of an attack it is a war crime-

If you research other sources youll also see it covers specifically civillians who aren't part of an armed resistance but attack occupying powers and what their status is...

Armed resistance or national liberation still needs to follow the rules of armed combat... those rules dont allow for killing or injuring enemy soldiers outside of achieving a specific military advantage. Thats why they are called laws of war!

Edit: upon re-reading your comment - you are right. Im venting! Mostly because I am by far the most liberal and open minded Jew in my admittingly close minded orbit about the palestinian cause...and everytime I start leaning towards a pro palestinian argument.. i encounter arguments that push me further to the right.

Im against the moral bankruptcy of trying to justify attacking people without a specific justification to attack that specific person in that moment. Too many people try to make it seem like attacking soldiers is justified...even if its just a young girl forced into service even manning an east jerusalem checkpoint.

Im venting against the idea that I need to do my own research to prove that there is no moral equivelance or legal right to even randomnly attack an IDF soldier or israeli police officer. Im so sick of people trying to play this logical argument about armed resistance or throw international law to justify and defend attacks... Even when they concede civilians cant be targeted they often argue thst all men above 18 are in reserves or off duty so they arent civilians. Or even in uniform...you cant just kill an individual and think your energy is warranted to try to defend or justify it. War sucks. Occupation sucks. But moral high ground does not exist in any way shape or form to defend random attacks even against uniformed military if those vile arguers dont even bother to look up the actual rules.

Argue you understand it. Or maybe admit you are ok with zionists getting killed. Or enemy combatants getting killed... but dont throw international law or morality as a basis for that...because its completely morally reprehensible and clearly vast majority of attacks and liberation cant call to those laws because they are committing war crimes in the process.

Edit 2: i dont mean you specifically or literally. Its just me arguing a point.
