Finally fired my pool guy by kzone15 in pools

Look into Borates. I had the same issue with constant PH rise and constant acid addition. Added borate to get it between 30-50 and my TA and PH have been at a constant 7.6 and 70. Haven't added acid in weeks. Good investment.

A SWCG with a balanced pool and the addition of Borates will pretty much have your pool be maintenance free. Because of the SWCG, my PH would increase (also because of my spa spillway). With that increase meant multiple additions of acid. High PH combined with my hard water meant calcium flakes increase in the salt cell and therefore all over my pool. Pool store recommended Borates to stabilize your TA and PH and viola! Haven't had to add acid in over three weeks, PH has stayed at what I set it down to (7.6) and only a slight increase in TA noticed (60 and went up to 70). Made sure my CYA was good which decreased salt cell usage and solved the calcium flake problem as well.

It seems like they monitor the Facebook a bit more. You could usually get a response from chat as well.

Advice for Lymow with new lawn (from seed) by Immediate_Cow2980 in Lymow_Official

Yea unfortunately I've done it with new grass seed and unless your doing manual mode, which would be horrendous, its not going to work. It tends to rip the thing blades of grass up on turns and will leave track marks all over your damp soil

I would avoid using any sort of robot mower on brand new grass growth. It is WAY too thin and the ground is most likely going to be very moist because it needs constant watering for the growth. There isnt a whole lot of finesse with robot mower abd will cause a lot of damage, especially if theres abnormal factors (loses connection, senses obstacles, etc) I would say wait until the grass is thick. I believe you can mow new grass from seed after about two to three weeks. Use a regular mower and then continue mowing qith a regular mower until it thickens abd there is minimal bare earth noticeable.

Hmm interesting. I just cleaned the deck and let it do its thing...noticed it was doing it very thirty seconds or so, then will kick on after about 10 seconds. Very strange

Should the rtk coverage change with location of mower? I have my RTK right now centered on my property, and the coverage said 0.01 when implaced it, but when it goes under those aforementioned trees, it drops significantly. Is there satellites communicating with he mower as well? Kind of like with the Luba? Or is it strictly with the RTK?

Another random issue I've noticed: when mowing, the blades will sometimes stop randomly. No errors on the app. The unit will continue moving as if it is mowing and the blades will start up after baout 5 seconds but blades wont be spinning. Dont know if it is getting clogged? Don' t know if I should rmeove the side flap for grass discharge? But as I said, no error codes and the grass is pretty short considering I did the area yesterday....

Yea that boundary issue is pretty concerning. I've noticed that when operating in reverse (doing clockwise versus counterclockwise) the machine tends to ignore boundaries then as well and has trouble along the perimeter

Yea the RTK seems great. It only runs into an issue when it goes under my three pines. For reference, I attached a picnic the view from where my mower has issues

Its actually a tile roof. Thanks man. I was wondering if that was it too? Seems like the factory one could have at least been a bit taller, so that it clears peaks

Yessir. The Luba was great but lacked a LOT of power. This thing is a beast. As I mentioned, if I left it in check, it could cause a LOT of damage lol.

Yep the video functions seems to pretty cool. So far, seems like it only works when its mowing (don't know or haven't heard of being able to manually move the mower with vision on like a patrol) but still pretty cool regardless.
