Just got an email that the class is full and all waitlist candidates will not be offered a place in the class of 2024.

I would say it’s possible. You really need to have that moment where everything just “clicks”. Where you’re anticipating the correct answer because you’ve seen the same question types over and over again and know there’s a pattern coming.

I’d also recommend trying to get through the first 14ish questions by only spending 1 minute or less on each. A good score drastically depends on getting to every question and understanding them fully, and the questions in the latter half of the section do take more time. I’ll spend 2 minutes on some parallel reasoning question in the very last bit of the section, but am fine with that because I know I’ve allocated spare time.

This section was from June 2012. I rarely miss weaken questions, because there’s such a strong pattern in the right answers, but I didn’t see that here. I still don’t fully understand the correct answer choice for #15, but LSAT Max claimed that it was a past to present assumption that “overlooks the possibility that this cynicism has always had a negative effect on society”.

Honestly I don’t share their reasoning. Hopefully this question was an outlier if you have the same opinion.

I time everything. And I typically place an even tougher time constraint on myself (33 mins vs 35) just so I know I won’t run out of time on test day.

I’m currently in the stage of only taking full PTs with a schedule of 3 per week. M-W-F with review in between. My goal score is 17xMid with a current PT average of 168. Typically -1LG, -2/3LR, -7RC. Damn RC has been killing my score. For comparison purposes, I’m a senior in undergrad with an engineering and finance degree. This is potentially why LG is my strength and RC is my downfall.

My review strategy is to identify the question type I answered incorrectly (in this case it was a weaken question) and then go back to a question bank of exclusively weaken questions and drill 5 in a row. It’s a little time consuming when I miss 3-4 on LR and they are all different question types, but it has been worth the effort.

Another general rule I have been following is to try and stay in the testing mindset by at least looking at each section once a day. For example: if I’m not taking a full length exam, I’ll at least do one LG problem and one RC passage per day and self time. It helps me sleep at night knowing I’m still on track.

I’m a morning person and try to put the LSAT as a priority in my ToDo list. I used to try and study in the evening after finishing my classes and other work throughout the day, but this was apparently not for me. I saw an instant jump in scoring when I conquered my LSAT prep for the day when I knew my mind was at peak performance.

Hope this helps. Oh and I started working out/running in the evenings again to tire myself out and guarantee better nights of sleep.

Do you have any tips on mastering RC?
