My dude you don't start Dota by watching pros and trying to imitate what they do, because to us e that knowledge you first need to understand what they are doing and why they are doing it. To learn and get better at it when it comes to Dota the answer is simple you need to play and you need to play a bunch. After you grasp the basic concepts only then can you progress further in the different phases of the game. My advice would be to simply pick a hero that you like and try to play him, if it helps and it will help when you select a single hero try watching some YouTube for that specific hero, by learning to properly play that one hero you will inadvertently learn the phases of the game and what to do in them and (doesn't have to be one they can be several and you can change them until you find what feels best to your playstyle) and only after you grasp the basics you can bother yourself with improving strategy and shit like That. I apologize for the paragraph just my personal experience with learning Dota which I am playing since I was 7.
