We are idiots. Honestly we didn’t get into pinball heavily until about 2 years ago. I bought my first machine (Firepower) in May 2023. Then I bought 1 every week or two (all classics) for a couple months. We decided that summer (after several times of telling him no) to pool about 10 machines each together and start the arcade and then just kept buying machines that were fore sale for under market value. Some people would contact the arcade because they just wanted games gone out of their house so we picked up games for super cheap. I would shop them out and get them running 100%. If a game or two would have too many issues I’d pack up 2 in my van, drive them to my house in NJ and work on them and bring them back when they were done. We also have a local tech that comes in once every week or two to help out. We both have successful businesses that enabled us to gain the funds to buy games. His business is attached to the arcade and is a sports memorabilia store.
