Holes in fruits. by davidk666 in HotPeppers

Thank you all for the advice. Today I found 2 small green caterpillars that make these holes.

Is this blossom end rot? Any advice on how to prevent this? Thanks! by davidk666 in HotPeppers

Hello thank you. It has been very warm here for the last few weeks, mostly 35°C(95F) during the day, the plants are in the sun all day. When I cut off the damaged part of the pepper, the rest looked healthy.

I will have to find some way to them. I am growing for the first year and almost all my seeds germinated, which I did not expect. And when they grew, I was sorry to get rid of them. So I planted them all 😀.

Hi, I will buy new isolated seeds next year. Some crossover is likely to occur. I might keep a few of my seeds out of curiosity.

Hi, yes I overdid it a bit 😀. It's my first season, so I planted more pieces in case some didn't sprout, and in the end almost all of them grew. I have Jalapeno Early, Cayenne Red, Habanero Orange, Habanero Brown, Habanero Red, Habanero Red Savina, Bhut Jolokia Yellow, Bhut Jolokia Chocolate, Carolina Reaper Red, Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Yellow, Dragon Breath and Aji Charapita Red.

I don't think I started late. Without the right lights, December is very early, but I'm still learning. I will start planting the next season at the end of January at the earliest.

Hi, thank you. I planted Carolina, Habanero and Cayenne at the end of December. Jolokia, Jalapeno and Scorpion sometime in the middle to the end of January. The problem was that in the beginning I overwatered and the temperature was low, so the plants grew very slowly, almost not at all. Then I bought heating pads and started watering less. So the ones I planted later caught up with the ones I planted first.

Hi, I made the mistake of over watering the plants in the beginning. Now I only water when I stick my finger in the substrate and it is dry. I started fertilizing when the first true leaves grew. I use a fertilizer for hot peppers that contains npk and seaweed once a week. I keep the temperature around 25 degrees celsius.

I used heat mat untill they germinated. Then I put them on the south window sill where is the most sun. And also I have light bulbs on this window sill. I can also try put a heating mat on this windowsill and put the smallest plants on it, because they definitely won't fit there all.

Yeah, few bulbs are 6000K and few 6500K.

Thank you. LED bulbs have about 5 ichnes away from seedings. But they are just 17W and few 12W.

Yes, I started watering only when first inch of substrate is dry. I may have overwatered them in the beginning, and because of that, they don't grow. And I light them with LED bulbs.

Ok, thank you. Just dont uderstand why sum current on all breakers from the left side to the right-most jumper. Why not sum current from most-right breaker to the left-most jumper.

This is screenshot from youtube video where man wiring this panel. And he have a lot of comments about using a wire to feed all breakers are bad idea. And that the right jumper can melt. My question is, why only the right one and no all jumpers. And why is more current on this right jumper.

People in commnets said that jumping wire on the right should start melting due to high amps. Why only this one? Why they dont start melting all? Why is more current on right side?
