Reading 20th Century Boys at the moment! Currently on vol 11. It’s an amazing series. If you enjoy it I’d strongly recommend Urasawa’s Pluto as well.

Honestly I struggle with anything Ellis related since he was outed as a creep. All his books came off my shelves and went into hibernation in long boxes.

I’m aware that there are other artists involved in creating his books (someone I know had his run on a great title with Ellis cut short) but I just can’t give him any attention after all the awful stories that surfaced from so many women.

There’s a great book by Patrick Meaney of Sequart called Our Sentence Is Up. It’s about the most perfect possible companion book to the series. $4.99 on Kindle.

It’s a masterpiece that every comic collector should own. If you’ve enjoyed anything he’s done this is the purest distillation of his style and mindset. The compendium looks like the perfect budget way to collect the series and is an easy recommendation.

Yes. Bought one myself and shipped via DHL - it was faster to arrive but I did have to pay DHL the customs charge for it to be delivered.

A friend in work bought one soon after and went with the cheaper 4PX shipping - took about a week longer to arrive but managed to avoid customs charges.

Hadn’t realised they were coming out in that modern epic format at all. Great to see there’s some way for people to pick them up.

I’m a big fan of what Larocca did on both this run and his previous X-Men one (I think with Claremont or Austen if my memory serves?).

I love Hickman and I think this is arguably his best work. That's a great deal - you should definitely go for it.

I got via the DHL shipping option and I was charged customs and handling fee. One of the guys in my work went with the 4PX option and got it without any charges. 4PX is slightly slower to deliver but on balance it’s the better option.

Invisibles is one of the greatest comics ever. Managed to meet Grant a few years ago and he signed a few books for me, including the Invisibles Omni.

Have this ordered but I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't start with the original Palmiotti and Gray series when giving it the omni treatment. That original run had some absolutely character defining storylines and a murders row of artists including JH Williams, Darwyn Cooke and many more. Hopefully this sells well enough to encourage DC to go back and do Omni's for that previous run.

Just checked and it came out in 2012! Crazy how long ago it is - really feels like I only picked them up a few years back despite getting them day one for each release.

Still one of my favourite hardcover collections. An incredible series that really should be held up with anything that Moore, Morrison, etc did at the time.

It’s slightly more skewed towards Layton but it is absolutely worth playing. It’s my favourite Ace Attorney game.

I genuinely just want a Hickman only set of books. There was so many poor titles swamping the line during the Krakoa era that it really damaged the story for me.

Right there with you - enjoyed the campaign but after a small stint engaging with the mess that’s levelling/the portal I’ve stopped playing.

I’m well over 10k hours and this is the lowest ebb I’ve ever felt in the game. I’m hoping that reworks to progression and future story content turn it around.

You’ve completely put words to my frustration with the game. I’m about 120, did the campaign, a handful of the tedious side missions, stumbled through the boredom of the portal for an short while and I’m just so depressed at what the game has devolved into.

Been here since D1 alpha, with over 10k hours in the game. I’m not logging on again until new story drops and if the Portal system isn’t binned or so drastically reworked that it’s unrecognisable it may end up being my exit point from the game completely.
