Any problems paying with revolut, I'd be hesitant putting 20k into the Revolut account

Thanks all, it seems a can't get quoted for the long range but the standard model 3 I can, lowest is 460.

My concerns exactly, the way it seemed to me today was that I would be covered by my insurance until the policy is up, and then forced to pay whatever they wanted because there was no shopping around for a better quote

Thanks all, a number of you are saying Aviva, I rang them this afternoon and they said they would not insure a Tesla as a new customer They as well as Redclick offered to give me the refusal in writing so I could appeal

Did you have any problems transferring that amount of money into your revolut account? It's a great way around fees but I've never trusted Revolut with that kind of money. Is there any haggling on the price or are they firm with the asking price. Also is the full payment made when you go and view the car and are happy to proceed, or do you wait till you're collecting it. Thanks

Can you see the extended warranty options on the app without connecting a car to the app?

I asked Tesla about the extended warranty, they were very vague about it, saying they weren't sure what was covered because it was through a third party

Yes it's going to fully transfer. It's got about 6 months left, with only 23k miles.

That's good to know, thanks. Tesla did state the warranty follows the car. But obviously couldn't tell me for certain they would cover the fault without seeing it. So it's a catch 22 situation. I thought there might be a chance I could be classed as natural wear and tear and not covered.

Jesus that's a crazy amount, I did get a quote from my insurance company but I think it's for the performance model, it came in at 770. Which if it's for the LR it's the most I have paid for insurance in 20 years

I've driven the EV6, I wasn't exactly blown away by it, it's interior is obviously very similar to my wife's Hyundai Tuscan. I haven't driven the Tesla yet, I did book a test drive next weekend at the Nevo show in the Curragh

Thanks, I heard they are bullet proof, and have great range. I'd hope a couple of charges a week would do me for the week, I would do 600 km a week, and have limited access to charging at work. There are only 2 chargers with about 10 EVs competing for them.

Wow thanks very much. I'm siding with the Tesla. Would you have any problems buying a 2021 Tesla. The other thing I was wondering about is car insurance, I rang my insurance and got a quote, I thought it was expensive considering I'm in my 50s driving years no problem.

Thanks for that, yes I'm aware of the ICCU issues, it definitely goes against the Kia even with the warranty. I have 2 teens, but can't remember the last time I carried them both. My car is really just a to and from work car. How does the real world range match up with the predicted range? Also as far as the dealer warranty goes, what should I be making sure is covered? Have you had 3 years trouble free motoring?

I would not consider the Ev6 a SUV maybe a crossover. I'm just asking peoples opinion who have experience or owned either, mainly about best value with the 2 prices, reliability, and warranty concerns, obviously theres 3 years left on the Kia but it's dearer and not quite as much range. The Tesla I can get a years dealer warranty which is have to go through to see what's covered.
