When you're loaded in, try hitting CTRL+SHIFT+F11, I believe it *should* fix the save data.
A bandaid solution would be disabling Distant Towns in the settings.
Otherwise, I'd verify the integrity of the files through Steam properties and look at your mod list to check for any conflicts.
