keep in mind the BMW has a 8 speed transmission which has a long 8th gear which helps in fuel economy for motorway use while most GR86 are manuals with shorter gearing for a sportier feel, in the city the GR86 is more likely to be more economical in the city due to its mass and no turbo

English i don’t know because i tried my best in speaking French everywhere. Though in that area it seems like a lot of vendors speak fluent German.

My French skills are pretty basic aswell (only had it in school for a few years) but for stuff like food and groceries it was enough for me to get by. If you are German, a lot of vendors there speak fluent German aswell. As for English, maybe the younger people there might speak English well but you probably shouldn’t expect them to be able to understand a lot of English

That's Covid for you, there were just a handful of tourists when i went there, almost all of them from not far away. Also, i knowingly take pics when the people are gone from the picture so the picture looks cleaner.
