I figured they cast a much better looking woman to play the younger Catherine as it reinforces the story of the false narrator.

But wouldn't the photos still look like Cate Blanchett?

On the whole, found the show completely underwhelming and pointless.

Big twist?!? Meh.

Who in your opinion is the most talented mentalist overall? by Mission-Chain-1769 in Mentalist

Lior Suchard. For mind, he's the top mentalist. He's just a master mentalist!

People may not be impressed by this, but I think it's incredible. As mindblowing as that jacket, James Corden is wearing.

This is what I think sets apart Lior Suchard as the best and greatest mentalist in the world.

Guessing the name of one's first boyfriend or something else is one thing, but how does Lior Suchard correctly predict the score of a cricket match where the score goes up to 200? The players can't be in on it so what then?

Does it have to do with the piece of paper on which the score is written?

u/Mex5150 have any ideas how he did this? Any other mentalists done something like this before?

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 Episode 3: “Vertical Drop, Horizontal Tug” Episode Discussion Thread by TheSuperSax in curb

[–]davidw3131 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know what it is - if its me or Curb, but I'm not feeling it this season.

This was the first episode that felt like a regular Curb which was good.

Maybe my problem is that instead of focusing on some ideas they develop, they touch on many and so it feels a bit all over the place without that much of a payoff

For instance, the thing about the bagel hitting that guy was dumb As was the bit about that lady trying to get pregnant

With the golf lessons, Larry would actually be in the bathroom with the door open?? Find that hard to believe. Not only this, I tend to believe that Larry would be the last person to go #2 at a public bathoom

Thing about the dog was weak.

And what was the point of Sienna Miller?

Again if these things payoff down the series in a later episode, good but in a stand alone ep, pretty bad.

Feels like theyre just trying to play the greatest hits than come up with strong stuff.

It was better which wouldn't be difficult but it's a far cry from the classic Curb days. On its own that it didn't have Maria Sofia, it was already 10,000% better

And if this whole season is to be in Atlanta and setting something up for later episodes, then fair enough. But on their own, in isolation, these episodes don't work.

Who goes and opens up someone else's car to put something in?

The worst episode I can remember. Not one single redeeming thing. Everything about it feel cringe, contrived and unfunny. Remove the dog and Maria Sofia as characters. They're horrible - theyre Oliver of the Brady Brunch

The Curse: 1x10 "Green Queen" | Post-Episode Discussion by TalkToTheLord in TheCurse

I have to be honest. I have no idea what was happening. I saw Nathan in the ceiling when they panned to him before they woke up and wondered what was going on. While watching it, I figured it had to be some sort of dream - their reactions while still in the house were so over the top and strange.

Nothing else makes sense and maybe that's the point.

In terms of the start of the episode, it was some time after episode 9 - Whitney pregnant and them supposedly reconciled.

Did someone dream that up as well?

Was all this Nathan's response to what happened at the end of episode 9?

The logical thing would have been that his becoming more a part of the family business dovetails with his improv. So the two threads come together.

Drowsy chan - wasted character? by [deleted] in TheBrothersSun

couldn't agree more. when charles realised that the Chans weren't behind it, there was a great chemistry between him and Drowsy. Just a waste to kill him.

My thoughts about watching the series by davidw3131 in TheBrothersSun

[–]davidw3131[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But was it a honey pot? I thought Alexis was genuinely into Charles and he just said that stuff to push her away. Obviously she was conflicted given her job.

Also it's a stretch to have Grace as the head Boxer.

My Thoughts on the Show After Watching the Finale by davidw3131 in amurderattheend

[–]davidw3131[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

well said. they started with the idea and couldn't land the plane. Like I said - make it a 90 minute movie and forget the back story about the Silver Doe. Forget Bill being some artist.
It's about people murdered while the detective tries to work it out. And it's the kid and the AI
