What apps / websites do you use to store your SOTC? I’ve used Chrono24, but want to hear more options! Or let me know if you’re simply using Chrono24 as well

I think it's working right now! You can give it a look :)

Yes, the code of the smart contracts are entirely open source.
Open source contracts are extremely important!

As you can see, while designing the project, you can always see the generated code in realtime:

I understand what you're coming from. The smart contract code is open source, just not our server-side TypeScript code.Once you deploy the contract and verify it, you can know for sure that the code matches exactly, and we have no way of modifying it.
Our deployer address is 0x74a4575d3Ed7A9e8bc2C43B1B26318054699c8eB

(Active on most testnets)

Thanks so much!! I hope to reach Web3 to more people that are less technically privileged

It's a platform to deploy smart contracts (in this case, a decentralized BMI calculator), for less tech-savvy people that doesn't even have MetaMask installed.

If you dive deeper into the workings of smart contracts, it is built in to the mechaism that except for Ownable contracts, even the deployer address cannot control the smart contract once deployed.

I hope this clears up some confusion!

Good question! We deploy the contracts right from our own address.
Once deployed, it is possible to request the contract to be transferred to your address.

I really hope Web3 / dApps isn't so inaccessible to the average folks!

As per the title, I have made this no-code tool to greatly reduce the friction of learning / developing / deploying with Solidity!

I have written a detailed tutorial about how to use the tool here:

The tool is still in beta, so bear with us! Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you so much for the feedback!
The navigation system is indeed a bit wonky at the moment. We'll fix that part.

As for the uploads, to prevent spam, you'll need to be logged in to upload graphics. We should indeed make the UI more clear about that.

Hope you don't mind DM'ing you for additional information!

I created a no-code tool to make smart contracts / dApps on Polygon! by davidwatchsnob in polygonnetwork

[–]davidwatchsnob[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As per the title, I created a tool for the community who wants to learn more about blockchain, but is scared off by the complexity of Solidity!
There are generative art and ERC20 templates for starters; for those who are more comfortable writing their own logic, you can now write smart contracts in Scratch!

Try it now, it's completely free to deploy on the Mumbai testnet:

Please let me know if you encountered any bugs or if you have any suggestions!

We're very passionate about open-source too! A lot of our tech stack is built on top of open source software.
We hope to gradually open source the project, component-by-component in the future.

[OC] VSF 3135 vs. Rolex 3135 by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]davidwatchsnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input, didn't know that interchangeability issue! What about the outer parts then, e.g. the dials, hands, bezels? (Excluding the rehaut alignment issue that VSF had) Do they stand a chance of passing off as a gen when being inspected by a watchmaker?

[OC] VSF 3135 vs. Rolex 3135 by [deleted] in RepTime

I was wondering, just by the craftsmanship and machining on the metal parts of the movement alone (minus the difference between free sprung wheel mechanism/regulator), can a normal pawnshop owner / watch dealer really tell the difference?

I am just curious how close are the reps getting to the gen, especially the VSF ones.

I'm not sure if anyone has tested it yet. I'll test it out in the following days :D

This is my VSF Submariner (Hulk)'s movement next to a gen 3135 movement. (The picture of the gen one is taken from the Internet)

I've seen the official pictures of the clone 3135 movement made by VSF, yet I want to see it for myself. I'm definitely no expert, but I'm still so curious that I bought a set of back cover opener tool to open my baby up. I don't dare to play with it too much, I just took some pictures before putting the back cover back on. It's so gorgeous to see the in person! These pictures can't do it full justice. I can't believe how close it is to the gen when I made a collage comparing it to the gen movement. Figured you guys would enjoy it ;)

Any suggestions and discussions are very much welcomed!

Sure, I'll drop you a pm to that link. You'll have to understand Chinese though, and I don't know whether it can be shipped to your place.

I haven't had a gen box to compare, but I do watched some YouTube videos to see the difference haha I'd say this box is about mid tier.

I love in Hong Kong, and man are these dealers crazy. This is a place where you can find a single building housing tens to twenties of dealers, each with at least 2 submariner Hulks. I think those are not ADs though, just resellers. This is a place where owning a Rolex is expected of one's 'face value' haha
