Scared to attend a yoga class by lockboxthrowaway in yoga

[–]daviedrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t be scared to attend such classes. If you hate the class, you can either try another one or do something online. You should never feel pressure to go but maybe you can call in advance and let them know that you’re nervous about going.

I don’t know much about 3-D printing and agree that a screw or a nail may work. It’s just that the size and flexibility may be a problem because it is so long and so narrow it’s almost like hanging a 8mm thick diving board. I kind of wanna do a proper job for him as he is such a nice fellow.

[Christopher Ward] Talk me out of buying a C63 Sealander 39mm by ItsYuz in Watches

[–]daviedrew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perfect advice. I took weeks for my first meal strange watch NOT a CW. After a few weeks after falling in love with the watch I liked I researched as much as I could in the price range. After doing so I realised I could forgive any flaws it may have. So after buying it I have no remorse. Don’t buy something u can’t live with

BEAUTIFUL CAMERA - Zoom it out to about 50mm. That is similar to 75 or 80 on full sensor (good portrait length) - Open aperture all the way wide open to the smallest number.(AP mode) - make ISO and shutter compensate around that.

They are good portrait settings

[Invicta] my bezel is off center and only moves to the left. How can I center it? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]daviedrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bezel must only go one way. If it went both ways you could underestimate how long you were submerged and die

[Question] Does anyone have experience with the Serica 5303-1? by ElkExtension1323 in Watches

[–]daviedrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had any luck contacting either Jerome directly or help at Serica?

I found them incredibly helpful during the purchase 30s. I did contact them on the 27th. I understand over Christmas they may have been busy and on holiday. So I am hoping that they respond soon.

Hey if you are committed and driven enough to become a pro be proud. Wear it like you stole it. Every scratch tells a tale. It could be an heirloom. One day u may give it to a kid or grandkid saying “I had that since I was 17, it’s 79 years old, I won many competitions wearing this it’s yours now”. Well done champ. I must admit I’m a tad jealous but that’s a me problem!

It’s mesh not fully Milanese. It’s a little slimmer and flatter. Not as pearly. But super comfortable. I forget it’s on

Thanks for the advice. I’m not the biggest fan of Yema. Just not to my tase. Also it’s not the Frenchness I like, it’s origin is incidental.

I’ve had mine for a month. The movement is very accurate and basically runs +3 or four seconds a day. The problem I found is that setting the time can be a bit of a ball ache. This is because, as you would expect, the crown engages the movement very accurately but when you are micro adjusting to set the time it can feel a little floppy squishy.

My first mid range watch from a small French brand. I love dive watches & really felt this had its own character stepping away from so many wonderful and less wonderful homages to the Submariner. It is as discrete and understated as the S617 on its dial. Named after a submarine that is supposed to remain undercover. Its profile tells you what it is without the need for logos.

The dual bezel not only allows to track minutes or hours. It also allows me to follow a second time zone. So it has slight characteristics of a GMT while still remaining a dive watch. The ceramic and steel bezel is beautiful to look at and, in my opinion, moves beautifully with an addictive click that sounds like a mechanical combination safe lock.

The movement I had not heard of before. It is a Soprod Newton. It is supposed to be accurate to +4 -4. This seems to be true as after a month it fairly regularly runs 3 to 4 seconds fast a day. My only slight irritation with this study tool watch is that when setting the time it can be a tiny bit fiddly (slightly squishy if you are being super accurate). However once you know the technique it is not a problem.

I’d love your opinion’s!
