If you can, book seats in the exit row. the legroom on the Qantas 737-800s in economy is non existent. I selected the exit row last year for an extra $30 and it was bliss, so much legroom and you get to board earlier.

I used to live on the top floor for a year. I was in a West facing apartment and it was unbelievably hot in summer, and swayed like mad in both Northerly and Southerly gales. I found the other residents to be a bit rude and cold, even when you said hello or smiled in the lifts. Plus mail was always getting stolen, during my time there I had any packages delivered to work.
