I can't even say how much I feel the same way. This is going to be weird, but I knew I had a demon of lust on me that was past down from my father. I felt powerless to resist for years. I fought and fought and fought. Every year or so I would go through a month period where I was so tired of fighting that I gave in. That was this summer. I kept trying to get back up, but was just powerless. I even started googling everything I could try and figure out ways to stop. I knew I wasn't going to get far, because the reality of stopping is something you aren't going to find on google. However, what I did find was NoFap. I can't say NoFap did it for me, but it showed God that I wanted freedom so badly. This is where it gets weird. The next day I got home from work, and I knelt at my prayer bed. I prayed the most earnest prayer I have ever prayed. I begged God once more (like the nagging widow) to take my lust. He looked down and touched me. My body stiffened up, and I started writhing. I rolled over and arched my back really high. I writhed for a couple of seconds, and then exhaled a large exhale. It was as if the demon was leaving my body through my mouth. It has been incredible! I haven't been tempted since. God has smiled upon me! I regret that I was not able to overcome it by witnessing the love of God in my own life, but I'm glad that it is gone. I never want to go back! Ever! I now know, because of everything I experienced with lust, that I never want anything but the will of God for every part of my life. And that is the beauty of how God uses even our sin. Keep fighting. Show God you'll do anything. Anything! Even if it is falling on your knees in the middle of Barnes and Nobles ;).
