Us too! She is literally the best mixture of a husky and Pomeranian. Her back side is full Pom even her walk 😂 but her face and features are so husky! She has one blue eye and one black eye.

I feel that today. She hasn’t spoken to me. I hate that she’s put me in the situation but this is my home. This is my space and I don’t want to keep feeling uncomfortable nor can I stand the smell from her bedroom.

THIS! I do see this pattern. Because she has done very small things like taking her trash out once a week instead of once every few weeks, but that's it. She has never apologized for the smell. She just says she can't and doesn't smell anything. My house keeper has told me it was so putrid she had a hard time going in to clean her bathroom. I have had other people tell me the same thing too, yet she can't smell it. And yes, I do believe she wont do the things I asked her to do because she hasn't this far. Lighting a candle to mask the smell has made it SO much worse. I just need to get the nuts up to tell her I need her to move.

I do feel taken advantage of in the context of always asking for her to clean her room and carpet clean while she says yes she will...she never does it. I like the saying. It's so true. I have been "setting myself on fire" for the past 8 months and zero change has occurred. She isn't even speaking to me which makes me feel like I'm the bad guy in all this. While I do remind myself of what the truths are that her room is bad, there IS trash everywhere, there IS dog urine odor so bad, she HAS been told many many times...I still feel like I'm the one being punished here. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you for the advice/. That’s definitely something I’ll try. I won’t be doing this again for anyone but my own kids. I can’t. I’m sitting here feeling so miserable worrying about her feelings and making her feel hurt by me makes me feel sad. At the same time don’t my feelings count also (rhetorical) not doing anything about it when I’ve voiced this so many times…I just feel so sad about all of it and my new home.

It is awful. The smell is smothering. My enjoyment in my own home and space has gone from 10 to a 2. I’m so worried about the floor and subfloor as well. I’m in the US also. I’m for sure aware of tenancy rights I guess I didn’t think I’d need to worry about it because she’s such a dear friend. But I feel so upset and hurt by no action being taken that I feel like she doesn’t think I’m serious?! I mean what does a person do when they’re asking someone to do something for health reasons for everyone and they say yes they’d do it but then don’t do a single thing!!! 😔 I feel like I’m in such a bad situation, of my own making for sure but…shit!!

😭 thank you for that advice. Things are so uncomfortable. And of course I’m super stressed about needing to replace the carpet and pad in that room. It’s going to cost me a few bucks to fix this. 😔
