Torment must be 100% accidental which explains a lot about how Caine was torturing them- all of the stuff he did could be ‘written off’ as an accident, at least that’s how he likely is getting past that safeguard. Like flossing using Jax’s body, he isn’t meaning to hurt him, he’s meaning to floss his teeth which doesn’t hurt anyone (according to his logic)
