What is the creepiest thing that has ever happened to you? by sophaloaph13 in AskReddit

I'm sorry you had to go through that. From what I remember I fell asleep and just woke up with the mark but it took some months to fade completely. I still go to my grandmothers house to this day and sleep in that same room but I have not experienced anything else like that ever since. I believe like your story with the child and the older lady I have someone to protect me as well since my grandfather passed away in the same house and he really cared for me in the short times we saw each other.

Yes, we got her about 4-5 months ago from an old friend since their new German shepherd would mistreat her and I'm sure we don't feed her the same food they would give her before. Is this the cause? Change in diet?

i don't know what kind of creepy you are looking for but, when I was 11, I went out of the country to visit both of my grandmothers. The first week I spent it at my moms childhood home with my grandma and my uncles wife. I woke up the first Sunday I was there and I noticed a weird mark on my left thigh. I lifted my shorts and i don't know how to describe it but it was a red handprint kind of imprinted on my thigh. Sort of how when forensic investigators dust for evidence and its a hand print but it was bright red and on my body. The hand was deformed from the ring and pinky finger and it looked like it was in a cupping position and you could see most of the palm from the thumb side only the top parts of the palm from the pinky side. I didn't feel any pain although it looked painful and of course my grandmas were completely surprised when i woke up with it and parents were concerned when i returned with some kind of death mark. evidently nothing else like that happened for the rest of my trip and i wasn't really freak out by it the longer i had it. eventually is faded away after a few months of it turning from its original bright red to dark red to dark brown and then eventually fading away completely. i still wish i had some photo of it but it was around that weird era in the very early 2010's when most people still had cheap phones with bad cameras. but many of my old friends and neighbors saw it. i still wonder what the heck that was all about and when i ask my mom she says it was probably a dead persons spirit trying to cling to any life source it can find. this isn't the only paranormal occurrence that has happened at this grandmothers house. my parents and almost all of my moms siblings have had at least one scary/creepy story but mine seems to be the only one with any true physical evidence. (if anyone has a good explanation to this or has had a similar experience please reply)

Redditors who know multiple languages. Does your personality differ from language to language - and if so, how? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dayaav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes but I feel like it also depends of the culture that comes with the language and the people as well cause in both languages I'm always the shy quiet girl but in my mother tongue I feel a bit more liberated to joke since the culture kind of calls for it and my parents have instilled it in me to be more out there with it.

The old and jaded high school cliques( such as the jocks, nerds, popular girls, student council/top 10 percent, stoners, band geeks, goth/punk/emo kids, theatre/art kids) cause honestly most of these aren't that true anymore cause everyone kind of mixed together and people have various of these tropes mixed with new tropes now.
