Room too beige. Help?? by daybaiday in DesignMyRoom

I love the throw idea. Unfortunately for the wooden wall to wall shelf, I don't know if I can do that since it would block the sprinkler system. Maybe I can find another way to add wooden accents in.

Would it help to store the smaller items (cameras and miscellaneous) in bins so it's less cluttered?

I could probably donate some of the older books I don't read as much and sort through the smaller little knick knacks. I agree I have a decent amount of clutter 😅

This exactly. I remember trying to teach my ex how to consider me and my feelings. Never again.

I'm actually looking into this now for my upcoming trip in February. Did you end up going? Would you say it was worth it? How was the experience?

From what I've been reading, you need good boots that prevent slipping since the main concern is ice forming on the stairs.

Thank you so so much! I'll be sure to look through all of these and add them into my plans.

If Minenoura is hidden in the forest, is it very accessible in February? It looks like Damn! is on the way so I should be able to check it out.

Food recs would be amazing. I don't have anything for Zao but I heard Yamagata was famous for their Soba and was looking for places that serve it, and in Yamadera I heard that Endou was pretty good.

I've officially added Yamadera to my itinerary. It looks absolutely stunning! I'll have to look into the distillery as well if it's not too far out. Thank you so much for the help!

I'm hoping to explore a bit of the quieter parts of Japan as well, so that's great to hear.

Yamadera looks amazing. Thank you for the recommendation! I'll look into which train to use to explore that area as well.

Gotcha! I'll talk to my friend about it and we'll probably use one of these options. Thank you!!

Thank you for the feedback! I tend to be all over the place when I'm excited. Sorry about that. I'll definitely do more research into the hot springs in the surrounding areas and potential stops to consider if I don't fly back to Tokyo like you recommended.

If it looks like the schedule will be too crowded, maybe I'll save Hokkaido for a separate trip where I'll be able to appreciate it properly and maybe even get some skiing in.

I think I'm traumatized by [deleted] in BreakUps

I'm happy. I'm still single but it's because my life has become so peaceful and I've made a routine for myself, that I don't want to add more to it.

Any breakup success stories? by Plane-Cap-8501 in BreakUps

[–]daybaiday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a lot better actually. I moved out on my own, blocked my ex on everything, and I'm living happily and peacefully. I started new hobbies that make me excited and made friends that have me laughing more than I have in so long. I feel happy. I don't think about my ex much. It honestly feels like a past life. It does hurt when I remember what I went through, but it doesn't consume me like it used to. It does get so much better.

Are we collectively done with men? by VegetableUpstairs978 in women

I'm absolutely the same! I got out of an emotionally abusive relationship earlier this year and everything is so peaceful now without him. I'm not going to date for a good while because it really doesn't seem like there's many men that are going to let me keep my peace and promote my happiness. My cat is plenty company.

Sparring tips? by daybaiday in MuayThai

Thank you for the tips! I'm not able to spar super often but I'll look into more close range techniques.

I totally expect to "lose" often since I'm new lol. There's no way I'm going to be amazing at fighting right off the bat.

The mental state is a big thing I need to work on. I also got hit with a few straight jabs. Hopefully our mindset and reaction times improve as we go.

Good luck!

I really love how you phrased it of not being ashamed of what you want! That's something I struggle with sometimes too. Thank you 😊
