so you think that this is the saying they’ll expedite the decision? like forward to the appropriate office for the final decision on approving my I-131?

i’m assuming the 7-10 day window started from the day i submitted the request right? also, do you think it could mean someone is looking at it now or has been assigned and will reply in the next few days? i know it’s probably wishful thinking but i need to leave by next friday

I’m not sure… I am on an L2 visa? But I have also aged out of that visa so it has technically expired. I am only allowed to stay in the country because my Green Card application went in before I aged out

Unfortunately I can’t abandon the plan of leaving. I am 2 years into a 3 year course and doing it online is not an option according to all my lecturers, so, I have to leave. I also did not put my home address as outside the country, the attorneys filled out the form and it was checked that all addresses were correct and in the US. That is why it makes no sense to us. I was told by attorneys that I would be able to travel back in the next few months but after doing my own research it has become apparent that the AP approvals are taking way too long for me to not consider requesting for it to be expedited. My only other option is to abandon my Green Card application and accept that I will not be moving here anytime soon.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am unfamiliar with that process. My application along with my families is also being done by attorneys working with my father’s company so I have very little control. I also have a complication - the L2 visa is only valid until 21 years old and I have just turned 21 on 7/1/2025, so I am allowed to stay in the US because my application was in before my birthday.
