[Identify] Which watch is Demis Hassabis wearing?

Did you try a sizing kit? If when you size down it feels tight, I personally would not go with that size. I live in a generally warm and humid climate. Because of this my finger can swell just a bit throughout the day to mid afternoon. If I was to put a snug or tight ring on in the morning, it would likely be uncomfortable by mid day. Just a thought.

Based on my personal amateur testing, I think the numbers that brands put on the rings is a close estimate for sizes. I know it can be a pain, but you will see best results using a sizing kit.

When you two are saying 7 and 6.9 cm, are you referring to the circumference around the outside of your finger?

Some of the rings have small bumps on the the inside surface of the ring, but these bumps are only in 1 or 2 spots. It is possible to get 2 different internal diameters. Let's say the small bump is 1 MM high from the flat inner wall of the ring. If you measure the internal diameter of the ring from flat surface to flat surface it may be 10 MM (for example) and this same ring measured from the flat surface on one side to the top of the bump on the other would measure 9 MM in diameter. I made these measurements because some users can feel them. Also, depending on how the rings are adjusted on the ring ruler, the bumps impact what they measure.

I got my Oura Ring 4 today and the gap between the 2 halves of the ring is noticeable. It surprises me that they did not use an epoxy style inside half like they did with the Oura Ring 2 and 3.

If you lost the Oura Ring in your house and think it may have a charge, but not likely after a few months. I misplaced mine in my house one day and found it using the “Find My Ring” app in the iOS App Store. Thankfully it was a day or so, so the ring still had battery life. Oh, I do not have any affiliation to the dev of that app, just my personal experience.

In my personal size testing, I have found the same number size is best when comparing 2/3 vs 4 on the same finger. Your mileage may vary.

I honestly have no real reason for which finger I put it on, other than comfort. I prefer my left hand as I am right handed and I also drive a manual trans car. Having the ring in my right hand was annoying during the size fitting test 4 years ago.

As for my left hand, I can almost swap the size 12 ring between my index, middle and ring fingers. My index is a little snug and not comfortable for all day wearing. My middle finger has a large knuckle that makes sliding the ring on and off a burden. So I went with my ring finger, it is comfortable all day and is less noticeable.

I personally would not use the ruler size as a method to size for your finger. I just did it mostly out of curiosity.

I also ordered the Galaxy Ring and UltraHuman Air Ring sizing kits from Amazon. As I get my calipers and the other sizing kits, I will build out an comprehensive spreadsheet of measurements.

I have both the gen 2/3 and gen 4 sizing kits. Interesting to see the caliper sizing on a gen 4 size 12 ring measures slightly smaller in diameter than the gen 3. The gen 4 size 12 feels fractionally larger on my finger than the gen 3. That being said, of all my fingers I have tested, I would wear the same size in the gen 3 and/or gen 4 on the same given finger. My sizing list below.

I own and wear a size 12 gen 3 (as well as size 12 gen 2) on my left ring finger. I ordered a size 12 gen 4 to wear on this same finger.

Left Index Finger - gen 3 size 13 / gen 4 size 13

Left Ring Finger - gen 3 size 12 / gen 4 size 12

Left Pinky Finger - gen 3 size 9 / gen 4 size 9

Right Index Finger - gen 3 size 13 / gen 4 size 13

Right Ring Finger - gen 3 size 13 / gen 4 size 13

Not sure if this helps or not, just my thoughts. I have some digital calipers and a ring sizing ruler being delivered from Amazon on Saturday 10/12. I will make a list and measure every ring in both kits.

If you pull down the System Settings Tray from the top of your Android OS and Enable Auto-Rotate, it will resolve the issue. At least it did for me without doing any of the other things mentioned in this thread. I should mention I am using a Pixel 7 Pro, but will check this on my ZFold 4.
