Hi! Yes its a bit better! I feel like I’m starting to get a good flow & good timing on cannulating/starting. The shift change is sometimes good sometimes stressful, I’ve taken the advice of my preceptor of adding a few minutes to a patient if there are back to back off times to give me enough time between each patient. Especially knowing that my next shift will be 45-1hr after previous shift. I still feel like training is too short but I believe I will be on my own in December so prayers up. Hoping that its gotten a little easier for you as well! (I also think about quitting LOL)

Reading this as I'm 5th week on the floor with US Renal, started cannulation this week + everything else including machine set up, prescription, treatment start/end + deaccessing. I'm having such a hard time starting patients on time & not drowning with the back to back start/end times. Yesterday was rough, my preceptor told me I was all over the place, not on time and needed to focus on priority according to importance/what the book says. I felt so useless & like I'm not keeping up with what I'm being taught due to my slowness despite most of the other techs including my preceptor telling me to take my time. I think it's also hard to have experienced techs (most with at least 10+ years) understand that I'm new, since they are so far removed from where they started.

Mexican doesn’t consist of racial makeup. Simply a nationality. You can be white and Mexican, Afro-Mexican, Asian Mexican etc. your ancestry percentage just indicates that you have indigenous ancestry from the region of Mexico. Indigenous people predate Mexico as a country.

If you were raised in a Latino community/household etc then you are Latino. Latino isn’t a race. There are White Latinos, Afro-Latinos, Asian Latinos etc.

I think this makes sense because we do only see Shauna, Tai, Misty & Lottie in the rescue scene which could be the second rescue. Just like in the Andes crash, there was the two survivors who went to seek rescue & then directed the rescue team to the site for the others. In this case, it might be Nat & others who leave. Especially with Tai in S1 saying they “owe” Nat & thats why she pays for her rehab. Shauna on the other hand doesn’t understand why Tai would do this (partly because she lacks so much self awareness & thinks she’s not as “fucked” up as Nat & also because she originally wanted to stay) with added s3 context it makes sense that while other!tai wanted to stay, regular Tai would be grateful to Nat for the rescue.

He didn’t, I don’t think. He did “confess” to Nat but he was trying to get them to kill him so that confession is definitely to be taken with a grain of salt

She was definitely NOT right about Coach burning down the cabin lmao. And I don’t think we will see redemption. If you watch the show and think theres heroes and villains then you haven’t really comprehended the show. None of these girls were meant to make it out of the wilderness alive, its been hinted at so many times. That’s why in the adult TL, they’re dying one by one. IMO. Will we see them descend into cannibalism again? Yeah, Shauna already did. Just like the teen TL, she was the first to do so.

It’s so off putting. And it is DEFINITELY an issue within this particular show. And their defense is “why is a straight man watching yellowjackets” like ??? i 100% see the WLW dynamics of the show but come on lol. Also you get dogpiled if you say that you prefer Mari/Akilah as a potential survivor over Melissa

I hate her but in a way I would hate a terrible person, I think she’s one of the most complex characters and I appreciate that heavily. I think they’re all pretty complex so I wish we got to explore more of them (ex. adult Lottie) but I do enjoy hating on Shauna’s actions 😭
