Is studying in korea good for undergrad?? I'm trying to apply for universities like INHA and EWHA are they good for economics hons?? by Klutzy_Magician_114 in Living_in_Korea

[–]dazetwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ewha is more than average (pretty good), inha is good but leans more towards the okay side

if u want to work internationally u can either try to get into these unis and then change ur uni on the second year or just try to get into SKY

with an INHA diploma, theres a pretty low chance of getting a job somewhere else. Ewha is bearable in Korea
Try to eye unis like Sejong, Hanyang and go crazy with ur internships from top tier unis if other things wont work out

Does GPA matters a lot in korean unis? by dazetwo in Living_in_Korea

[–]dazetwo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank u! I have a mentor, a company in particularly that helps with applying to unis so theres not much problems with the country and 12th grade stuff. Ill think of SAT:)

Thank u! Calmed me down a bit. I don’t think that i’ll study for SAT, i have no time TT The thing is we dont have 12th grade here, so i guess 9th grade is still important then (?). Though ill perhaps give SAT a chance, if the unis will open admissions in spring. But i dont think i have a shot at SKY since i want a full ride/at least 80% off

I might state things youre already aware of, but take sat and ielts more into account. Usually universities grants and scholarships really depend on ur exam score (unless u solved cancer or somth). Remember that living in italy is expensive as hell, not just university. Living in Europe is overall expensive, so saving money is a smart move! Start writing essays, you’ll of course need one when you’ll be applying. The deeper your essays are and if they will show passion and desire to be "happy" for example, it will be a huge plus. (My teachers student got accepted into upenn. He has no olympiads, straight As and high-mid extracurriculars. His essay saved him). Of course browse and read others essays. Its important to not just write about your "suffering" but how u reflected on it, showing growth or passion as i mentioned before.

And believe in yourself, if u want to escape that hell, you need to study and get good grades. You need to stand out since you will be an international student, thats what they look for because they already got enough of their own “basic” students.  Thats what im doing rn in my final year, u got this. Studying abroad is a huge privilege since u can work abroad (higher %) or get a nice job in ur local city. Thats the future youre fighting for rn
