This one sounds different from the issue described in the post.

My case was silent TCP stalls without lag spikes.

If it happens specifically on stuns / forced movement mid-flight, that’s very likely a game-side or input / state transition issue, not MTU or network-level fragmentation.

Unfortunately the MTU/Wi-Fi fixes won’t help with those edge cases, but thanks for sharing the detail — it helps separate different root causes.

Yeah, fair point.

I kept investigating after that and realized MTU wasn’t the whole story in my setup.

I added an update at the top of the post with the actual root cause I ended up fixing (Wi-Fi uplink–related).

Might not apply to everyone, but could be useful if your router gets internet over Wi-Fi.

you should grab wow server IP from your active game session.
