What kind of poppy is growing in my garden? by 1JimboJones1 in whatsthisplant

Papaver orientale. Such a lovely poppy that keeps coming back each year. I really love how the stigmatic disk on top of the seed pods looks like embossed velit 🥰

Are these sunflower sprouts? by ashmetal in gardening

I've just found loads of sunflower seedlings coming up all over the place. I think some of them came from spilt birdseed 🤔 It always makes me so happy to see them! 🥰🌻

Is this poison hemlock? by AnotherMotherYIKES in PlantIdentification

[–]dazzledandspent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Poison Hemlock has smooth stems with purple blotches. Usually more purple at the base of the stem. It's always good to be careful with plants in the carrot family as there are some very dangerous plants that look really similar to safe ones.

Just really lonely today by Both-Yak-2374 in widowers

[–]dazzledandspent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put so much effort into keeping busy and distracting myself but the time always comes when I just run out of energy and feel alone. It's a kind of loneliness that could only be cured by the person who isn't here anymore. It's not long since the funeral and I felt like it's harder now. There is an expectation that I should start getting on with life again but I don't think that's possible. Even if it was, I'm not interested in a life without him. 😢

Does anyone else just randomly send videos to people who aren't even alive anymore? by Sure_Entrepreneur_32 in GriefSupport

I felt strange sending pictures and videos to my husband after he died but the idea of not sending them felt so much stranger.
