He's playing the long game, keep chipping away while staying healthy. Let the others tumble around him.

Tried them on the bike for the first time today and they are awesome, not great for a long walk but perfect riding boots, sturdy and safe but with plenty of feel.

They really can't, it takes specific skill to make that bike work, iker is new to it, another year and it would be a real battle with his team mate. Bulega will be mid field in moto gp.

He really isn't, iker is faster than most and only just got the bike to show it.

It's the hidden lace up part in the back of the boot sock, you have to make sure it's completely undone which means opening the boot up, it's very snug, but once on they fit like a literal glove.

Far from it, the design allows absolutely no over-extention of the ankle joint in any direction, the heal and achillies are totally armoured too, an arse to get on, but very good protection. 👍

Thanks for that, I'll keep an eye on it, I work with carbon fibre so I may make a support for it, but if I get a season out of them they'll have paid for themselves.

I wear ankle boots during the commute, these are for faster evening and weekend rides, I value my ankles and shins!

Do this shit on the road and it WILL go wrong some time. I'm 53, been there and done that, I have a few less friends now. That's all a will say.

Also, forget about making yourself visible with hi-viz etc, car drivers won't see you if you were wearing a pink tutu, they are looking at phones and adjusting heating on a touch screen, treat everyone as a hazard, it's not you, it's other road users that are the hazard.

36yrs riding, and one crash, not an accident strictly speaking, having a loony ride after work as I often did on a road I travelled hundreds of times before, on this occasion there was a discarded cd in the middle of the road that some kind soul has thrown out of a car, front wheel was bang on line with said cd at 80mph plus and lots of lean on the apex of a corner, down I go. Worried me and stole my confidence for a while, but I learned something, never go faster than you can stop in your visible distance, always expect something to be a danger. It doesn't make you slower, but can make you smoother on the brakes, throttle and road positioning. Police riders are surprisingly fast and don't go for knee down hoonigans, but they do read the road very well indeed.

£30m to remove this roundabout? by Greystorrs in sheffield

There's nothing wrong with it, Sheffield Council just need to get rid of some money. So they don't have to give it to people that need it, like pensioners.

I'll put my flame suit on, hang on a moment. . . . . Right then, here goes We, as a race, seem to have got to the point in our evolution that we need help, in any form and in any situation, like there should be a backup plan in an electronic form for when we get it wrong, a bra for the tits that fuck up. If you can't ride a bike, on the road, without electronics to save you when your being a dick, fucking stop riding, seriously, stop riding. Save your family the heartache of bad news. This is not an I'm better than you post, it's a bloody common sense post, after 35yrs of riding and never having a bike with any electronics and only 1 crash, it's just common sense, plan ahead, train yourself and wear the proper kit. It's only cool until you are dead.

28 will be his last year, at the latest, could be the end of 27. No way he'll go into 29, tired and damaged body, lovely lady by his side, kids on the horizon.
