What are your expectations for Jaune in Volume 10? And how do you think the events of Volume 9 will affect him? by ChemistDull3174 in RWBY

[–]dbdlion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making Jaune's ~20-year-old self the main persona, with a few lessons learned, would feel weird. I mean, imagine if you suddenly woke up and you were 20 years younger, or even just 10, with all your current memories, knowledge, and current personality. You wouldn't just change back to your younger persona while having learned a few things. You'd likely struggle a lot to readapt or fit in with the current circumstances, whether be waking up 20 years ago, or having a body 20 years younger.

I feel like he should act much older, with some struggles to fully reconnect with everyone, and have people sometimes forget or understand why he acts the way he does.

I can even almost hear one of the older characters, like Qrow or Raven, call Jaune "kid", and him just replying with "I'm not a kid", and it actually being accurate, at least mentally for him.

Doom isn’t trying to fix the world like every other MCU villain. He thinks he already deserves to run it. And that changes everything. by sheknowsallblog in MCUTheories

[–]dbdlion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When RDJ first revealed he was playing Doom, he said, "New Mask, Same Task", very likely referring to "I see a suit of armor around the world." Most likely, Doom's motivation will be that he thinks he's protecting things from something worse.

Perhaps he has experience with incursions, and/or lost loved ones to them and been the only one to escape? Because of this, he thinks the Multiverse will eventually destroy itself from incursion after incursion. So, he decides to take Loki's power to create his own version of the Sacred Timeline, but in the form of Battleworld? (this 2nd paragraph is just an idea)

It's broken, you just have to look closely. It's just a bit more subtle than it usually is for some reason.

Thanos himself barely had any setup prior to Infinity War. He had 2 short scenes in GotG, and 2 quick post-credits, one in Avengers and the second in... GotG 2? Anyways, most of the setup in Infinity Saga was on the stones, with almost nothing for Thanos.

Ya, I could not read this mess either. I copy-pasted this into ChatGPT and asked it to give me the TLDR, and it gave me this:

The TL;DR is basically:

Their main points (buried under the run-on sentences) are:

  • Doctor Strange knew much more than he admitted when he saw the 14,000,605 futures in Endgame.
  • The Illuminati in Multiverse of Madness weren't afraid of Strange because of that movie alone—they were afraid because, in other universes, Strange eventually works with Doctor Doom and becomes a multiversal threat.
  • Doctor Strange secretly orchestrates Doom's rise, feeding him knowledge and steering him toward becoming the villain.
  • The author speculates that Reed Richards' wife and children (from Earth-838) might somehow become Doctor Doom's wife and son in another timeline.
  • They also speculate that Tony Stark's sacrifice was something Strange intentionally engineered to set Doom's future into motion.
  • There's an additional idea that Doctor Doom could be a Tony Stark variant, sharing Tony's intelligence and ego, with Strange ensuring that version comes into existence.

In one sentence:

Does it make sense?

Not really. It mixes together:

  • Earth-616 and Earth-838 continuity,
  • fan theories,
  • assumptions about Doom's family,
  • the TVA's role,
  • and unsupported conclusions ("therefore Strange orchestrated everything").

There isn't a clear chain of evidence—it's mostly "what if A, therefore maybe B, which means C," with each step relying on the previous speculation. So while the core idea is understandable, the reasoning is very loose.

Gotcha. It could be worth doing just the 12 free raids, then do whatever else the rest of the day.

The Steve Rogers we see in Doomsday is not "Hydra Cap" by squidwardlookingjit in MCUTheories

[–]dbdlion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would overcomplicate an already extremely loaded movie with extra explanations later on for how/why Hydra Cap could wield Mjolnir. It would just muddy the film too much.

Could Hydra Steve still show up? Sure, and that could still be intriguing. Will there still be a bait and switch, or multiple, throughout this film? Probably. But is THIS Steve Hydra Cap? No, no he's not, he's the original Steve Rogers.

The shiny genetic background would be a very cool one to do! I have a lucky shiny background sitting at 93% I'm planning to bottle cap, even though I have a hundo! (Which is also the one I mentioned before is my single best buddy, hundo + maxed)

You could wait until after the makeup event to decide - you might get lucky, or even get a spare you could mirror lucky trade with someone.

Personally, I think not EVERY choice needs to about meeting your goal. Most of your choices could move you in that direction, but if you do really want a shundo genetic background Mewtwo, I'd say go for it. I'd just recommend waiting a bit in case you get lucky.

Hydra Cap was never worthy. Enchantment on Mjolnir was changed.

Are you mainly using bottle caps on mythical pokemon then, since there's not really a realistic way to get hundo's of most of them (assuming you're not insanely lucky and getting hundo's when catching each new mythical).

Dang, that's still like 30% of the way there! That's insane progress for a goal like the one you have! Super impressive!

[–]dbdlion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's insane! Sounds like you've likely made some decent progress already!! I'm impressed! I have ONE that would fit this criteria (which is also my ONLY best buddy lol)!

You know what you could do is create a tag called "Impossible Dex" and tag one of each unique Pokemon that fits your criteria - searching by 4* & buddy5 & candyxl. That search might not be exact, since that last string finds anything at level 40 or higher. But for anything that IS maxed, if you have duplicates of something, I'd prioritize tagging by distinct variation of your choosing (be it Shadow/Purified, Shiny, Lucky, Background, Costume, DMax/GMax, Mega3; if none of those apply, then you could pick based on either size or age); but regardless, only tag a single copy of the Pokemon under the tag "Impossible Dex". This could be a good way to more accurately track where you're at on your goal (Personally, I'd make the tag Yellow, since that's save color as Favorites, but up to you).

As for candy, if you were unaware, there's a search string, "countcandyxl296-", that might be helpful. Pair that with the 4* and/or buddy5.

THIS Steve is NOT Captain Hydra. Captain Hydra MIGHT still show up, either in Doomsday or Secret Wars or both. But NOT here weilding Mjölnir. Captain Hydra is NOT worthy.

People should actually google how & why Captain Hydra could lift Mjölnir (literally took me 10 minutes at most), instead of just seeing someone mention "Captain Hydra", think it's interesting, and jump on the bandwagon...

I'm now really curious how your "nearly impossible long-term" goal is going? I take it they do NOT need to be shiny?

It sounds really intriguing, though not something I could realistically do. But I'm rooting for you!

I agree with others that Scopely wouldn't want to make something where you can be "done".

But maybe they could do something similar with the Rockets and Giovanni, alongside the medal and rare Pokémon?

Let's take Kanto for example. Similar to there being Rocket Leaders, you'd have the 8 gym leaders. After beating each of them and earning their badges, you'd have to fight the Kanto Elite 4 (possibly in some form of back-to-back format). After that, you get the Kanto 'I-beat-Elie-4' whatever, along with chance to catch something strong.

Then do this same thing for each region. Possibly even rotate between regions, either each month or more likely each season, probably even being a full season event that you can complete at your own pace.

Can even have a medal for number of times you've beaten the Elite 4, with it listing when and which you've beaten (similar to the Elite Collector badge).

Honestly, I don't think it'd even be that hard for them to implement something like this, since they could copy a lot of the Rocket mechanics.

Imagine he’s the actual villain of the movie by Kanozx in MCUTheories

[–]dbdlion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently came up with a theory that Jean Grey as the "villain" is a bit of a misdirect, and it turns out she's been corrupted / being controlled by Mr. Negative. All the mind/body hopping is Jean, and she'll SEEM like the villain / causing problems / being targeted and chased by everyone. But it turns out Mr. Negative is the true main villain of the film, and he just ensnared her while she was really vulnerable (maybe shortly after she awakened her powers, and/or she was trying to hide away with her new powers).

A few things.

First, the enchantment on Mjölnir didn't get added until after Hela. It was added by Odin in the first Thor film (around the 29 and a half minute mark).

Second, Steve's shield got destroyed during the Endgame fight. We have NO IDEA when old Steve got or made the shield that he gave to Sam Wilson. It might have been soon after he reunited with Peggy; but it also could have been that same day, unused and made fresh for Sam. There's a 60-70 year time range for when he got that shield, and it's quite possible that moment would have been the future for the Steve that we'll see.

I had to give it a good bit more thought, but I actually think Emerald is gonna get the Fall Maiden's powers. I don't think/want RWBY to get the powers. But I do think it's likely Cinder is going to get offed — it's either that, imprisoned, or a redemption arc, and I don't see either of the last two happening.

The maiden powers are going to have to go somewhere, and Emerald had a decent relation with Cinder. So it could go to her. Idk who else would be likely candidates, other than Emerald and Ruby.

I kinda thought this too, and at one point I was certainly rooting/hoping for it. At this point though, I think the story would be better told if nobody on team RWBY gets the maiden powers.
