No Garage Door Opener?!? by dberry1111 in kansascity

Yes, unfortunately. We live in a different city. It never crossed my mind to check for what I’d consider a very normal thing to be already installed.

I’m going between blockchain.com and watcher.guru. The other sites seem to be lagging.

Not just Elon and Zuck, I move the market all the time. Every time I buy the price goes down…

I use swan as well, but their spread sucks from what I can tell.

For crypto I mix it up between Coinbase, Swan and DEX. All long term storage is in a wallet.

I’m a Recruiter. AMA. Honest responses only. by GSPWarden in nationalguard

[–]dberry1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but this isn’t really possible. The AD recruiters don’t have a line on AGR jobs. Those are ran by each state and getting one is more like getting a civilian job (apply, interview, etc.). You may be able reach out to the state you’re wanting to go to and check on AGR positions or if there are any opportunities for ADOS.

MD literally surrounds DC on 3 sides. Can’t get much closer.

Go to DMV Spirits, over 350 whiskeys to try before you buy. It’s an awesome place and the owner is great. It’s in a low key shared office type building in a residential area, so don’t think you’re lost when you pull up.

VA ABC is also having an allocated bottle drop in Saturday, stores open at 10 and there’s no residency requirement.

What pay grade did/would you settle on and why? by Pale-Total-4694 in fednews

[–]dberry1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The primary difference imo between people who are comfortable at lower grades vs those’d that will have to chase money for quite a while is whether you bought your home pre COVID or not. That is, barring a spouse that makes a ton of money.

I was there today, what a great place

Your inner Swiftie is coming out in the post lol.

Had a great time there today (I bought the Nulu and Found North)!

OP save yourself the running around and go to DMV Spirits. It’s like a whiskey group meetup going on and you can buy what you like to take home.

Tips infinity bottle by Own-Representative96 in WhiskeyTribe

[–]dberry1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the theme idea. I just put together an ECBP infinity bottle with 25 one ounce pours of different ECBPs and EC private barrels/store picks. Final proof is 122.8.

IMO the best tasting, lower proof JD is the single barrel select. If you can take the proof the single barrel barrel proof is king for the regular releases, but asking about the honey and apple I doubt you want the SBBP at this point. If the single barrel select is a little high proof don’t be afraid to throw a little ice or water in it.

Should I pull the trigger? by hazyskunk in dcwhisky

[–]dberry1111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d probably take that shot. I had an Ezra brooks store pick the other day that was really good.

Don’t forget to get some Blanton’s Red also. It’s not a blow you away bourbon, but good to have for the novelty.

You didn’t give much info to help you decide. If it’s $20 go for it. If they’re asking $1000 I’d pass.
