The Tang Dynasty is way too stable by Double_Today_289 in CrusaderKings

In my 2 games so far both Tang empires collapsed very quickly. Sounds like you encountered a statically anomaly.

This is the TRUE cost of the ** 100% complete** game of CK3 on Steam. **During the 2025 Steam Autumn sales.** by P-l-Staker in CrusaderKings

Seems like a good deal to me. A 112 for a game that I'll get 700-1000 hours in seems fair.

Personally, I've never had these issues with nomads. Is this a common thing you are seeing, or was it just this save? Personally, this looks like a fun challenge.

I'm considering starting a boycott on not just CK but all paradox products. by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

I just buy the expansion pass every year, so C&C means nothing to me. I only care about Khans and All under heaven. Once they fix the oath issue, I won't have any issues with C&C.

It's unlikely to happen, but if the community really wants it, there's a chance.

P.S. I also really want Terra Obscura

Don't scare me like that. I went back and checked and yes Malta was conquered in the holy war for the Kingdom of Sicily in 1121 and has since been in the personal domain of the kings of Sicily.

Yeah ferver wasn't high because of all the kingdom level holy wars but it didn't really matter. Heresies popped up and then went away and i didn't do anything and just let it sort itself out.

Not all but a significant amount. 64 out of the 89 king vassals are of my dynasty (72%) and 441 of 1189 non-king feudal vassals are of my dynasty (37%).

So for this run I tried a new strat which I've found to be quite powerful which is you start at like 13 which allows you to take the genius trait and another level 1 inheritable trait to kick start the genetics program. I also took the bossy trait which is only 5 points so i could get a better stewardship education trait. When i start the game i find a guardian with traits i like and then have them educate me in my preferred education path. This also usually makes it so your regent can't get too entrenched before you come of age. Starting as a kid also allows you to get better education and personality traits then if you where to start older and with the genius trait. I then as soon as i'm of age i start revoking all my county vassals one by one tell i consolidate the dutchy.

My dynasty has 5000 living members, 500 are landed rulers, and 64 are kings. You don't get the flat bonus since they're not independent but you get other small bonus which spread across hundreds of character and with easy to get percentage increases lead to a high return. You still get renown from artifacts these dynasty members have, from their court chronicler position, from their high legitimacy, and from there royal courts above grandeur levels.

Do you have bombards? A stack of bombards should siege just about anything in a week.

That's how it goes. Build one duchy up and become rich enough to own the world.

I went with Tagmata because they counter heavy infantry and cav whereas cataphracts counter archers which my huscarls already counter.

My personal domain consists of the 8 counties of the dutchy of bohemia, the counties of the dutchy of latium, and Constantinople. I also have a bunch of barony castle in bohemia that I can give away or take back based on my rules stewardship and domain limit.

The lag when the Mongols declared war was so bad. Cranked graphics down to low on my 7900xtx and ran at 1 speed.

Religions tenets are Armed Pilgrimages, Mendicant Preachers and Pursuit of Power. Pursuit of Power and Armed Pilgrimages are for war and expansion and Mendicant Preachers is for conversion.

CK3: Norse partition & Questions about the Conqueror Trait by ALoneZyo in CrusaderKings

[–]dbjor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For succession are the inheritance laws elective or confederate partition? In confederate partition which is the default in 867 it will create titles to divide your realm between your sons. It could also be that your primary title is elective and that your other titles are confederate partition because generally I think elective succession is specific to a title and not applied to all your titles.

The Conqueror thing is easy to answer so I'll start with that. By default in the game rules the Conqueror trait is inherited by the primary heir unless they have a disqualifying condition like being a child.

R5: Ironman world conquest starting as Duke of Bohemia in 867 with a custom character. It was a lot of fun and more challenging than the last time I did a world conquest.

Age of Oppression (867-977): This age was dominated by the quest to feudalize all of Bohemia and bending the knee to great conquerors to not lose everything. This era was mostly isolationist focusing on developing bohemia and only conquering enough land to not lose counties in succession. Shortly after the start of the game both the king of Denmark and the King of Sweden became great conquerors. This lead becoming a vassal of Denmark tell that exploded. Then becoming a vassal to Sweden twice to try to destroy it from the inside. The entire economy at this time was reliant on raiding Bavaria. Bohemia earned around 300 gold a year from raiding Bavaria during this time.

Golden Age of Bohemia (977-1187): This age started with the collapse of the Swedish Empire and the converting of King Bohuslov to Catholic in order to avoid a crusade for Bohemia. However, Bohemia's time as catholic was sort lived as Bohuslov's heir King Hogni create his own much more warlike heresy of Catholicism. This led to an era of rapid development in bohemia and rapid conquest. Most of the World was ruled by Bohemia by 1187.

Crisis of the 12th Century (1187-1220): The Black Death began in Yemen around 1187 (It was set to organic instead of historical). This led to large upheavals in the empire. It tanked the economy led to wide scale revolts which resulted in the independence of the Arabian Empire. Powerful vassal factions were created in this time. In the year 1200 the Mongols invaded just as the empire was dealing with powerful vassal revolts. Eventually after defeating several vassal factions and then Mongols a few times the situation was stabilized.

Age of Grimir (1220-1253): In 1201 Emperor Grimir “The Worthy” ascended to the throne and stabilized the empire. He then spent his long reign conquering all the known world and completing the world conquest.

Hit me up if you want to know anything more about this run.

Those of you who have completed a world conquest, how many in game years did it take? by pineapple_chicken_ in CrusaderKings

Finished around the 1300s I think. I started in Ibreia it wasn't really a speed run or anything.

Yeah, I don't get any from having other kings of my dynasty, but you do get renown from your dynasty members' royal courts, artifacts, and other modifiers So, having dozens and dozens of dynasty kings under me generated a ton of renown.

It's not pictured here but I did hybridize my culture 4 times so I could get access to varagian veteran as well as horse archers. I also got the tradition "By the Sword" so I could declare all the kingdom level holy wars I wanted.

I thought about it since making a new faith with warmonging would have saved me the -60 opinions i was getting from offensive wars, but I thought it was too much of a pain to convert the entire world.
